Netgear Nighthawk R78900 V1.0.2.52 firmware Windows 10
The R7800 is installed after an Arris Surfboard SB6183 cable modem.
Eperienced thoughtput issues about 2 months ago when the download speed dropped from ~180Mbps to ~93Mbps. Direct connection to the Arris moden restored the speed to ~180Mbps.
After checking R7800 settings I disabled Qos and the problem was resoved.

Sounds right to me. QoS will slow a connection down which is what you experienced until disabling QoS. QoS will not allow full speed of the Internet connection.

Re: Netgear R7800 ethernet throughput issues
Hi Bill, what is strange is that I have had QoS enabled for a condiserable time prior to my experiences with the poor throughput performance and was getting around ~180Mbps download.
