Nighthawk AC1900 R7000 2.4Ghz not connecting
I have a Nighthawk AC1900 R7000
* 5GHz works for my Internal Wifi network and for the Guest network
* 2.4Ghz only works for Guest Network
I can see the 2.4Ghz SID, but all devices, after asking for the password, simply say "Can't connect to the network".
I have tried downgrading to V1.0.5.48_1.1.79 firmware but that did not help. I can get it to work, but then I have to turn off all security for my Internal 2.4 Ghz network and that is not what I want.
WTF? Any suggestions? I noticed this only because my Raspberry PI2 appeared to be dropped off the network some time ago. Suggestions?

revert to.4.30 or 4.28
Factory reset to defaults.....DO NOT use saved configuration
Delete or forget 2.4 previous connections in all devices

Thank you for this suggestion, you led me on the right path. One remark, though: I was a bit stubborn, and first 'updated' to 1.0.4.28. My problems were immediately solved. I could manually connect my phone to the 2.4Ghz network, and the Raspberry PI2 immediatly connected after booting. I have not factory reset my router (yet). And I think I won't, at least not while the PI2 keeps connecting, which was the whole point
- LocaljoostAspirantsearay is that a known issue? How on earth is this possible? Been running the 5.48 for quite some time without problems :(

Many have reported problems with the last two updates.

I have the exact problem. I am running firmware v1.0.6.28_1.1.83. NETGEAR moderator, please help me too.

1. Download an older firmware. I use V1.0.4.28 because it is very stable but you can use whatever Netgear firmware you want. Unzip the downloaded file. http://downloadcenter.netgear.com/#0
2. Reset to factory defsults using the button on the back pressed in for at least 10 seconds. (until the lights go out and come back on.)
3. Flash the firmware using a wired computer. That's Advansced > Administration > Router Update and browse for the update you downloaded.
4. Reset again.
5. Manually input your settings. Do not try to read a configuration file into it.

Basically the same issue for me. After updating to the current firmware (V1.0.6.28_1.1.83 ), the 2.4Ghz band shows strong signal strength, but after a day or two the clients connected to that band are unable to access the internet. The 5Ghz band works fine. Is Netgear planning on releasing a new firmware update soon. It's a little tedious rebooting the router every couple of days.

Don't reboot the router every couple of days, juse downgrade to the 1.0.4 firmware as someone else suggested. Then keep watching these forums for a new version and that it has been around for a while and doesn't have any problems before upgrading.
