R8500 + EAX80
Hello,
I have a R8500 purchased in US. I am traveling to Europe and want to buy the EAX80 extender. If I buy it in Europe, will it work with my R8500 purchased in US? Will they work or is there any difference in frequencies?
Thank you

Re: R8500 + EAX80
EU has different broadcast restrictions.
And the north america versions are locked to north america.
Are you staying in EU long? If its permanent, buy the EAX in europe.
If its a brief stay, buy it in the US. You might have some broadcast issues but basically set your channels to avoid the EU restricted ones.

Re: R8500 + EAX80
I will use both in Brazil. Besides the fact of local regulation I was wondering if they would communicate/work together. Thanks

Re: R8500 + EAX80
I've never tried mixing/matching regions to see if they'd work together.
I know the EU ones aren't region locked like the NA ones are. So potentially you could change regions on the EAX to get it working. Brazil's broadcast restrictions are pretty similar to the NA regions.

Long or short, buying in Europe might be best.
They don't lock the region here, going by all the things I have used. So you should be able to buy in Europe and than
switch to the US when you return home.
