WiFi drops when downloading large files
I have firmware version 1.0.11.110-10.2.100.
When DL large files my WiFi shuts off and turns back on. I have already done a factory reset of this router.

Re: WiFi drops when downloading large files
Have you tried the recommended firmware for the router?
A quick search on the forums shows issues with the R7000 firmware.
the agreed upon stable/decent version is 1.0.9.42
I'd recommend installing it over a hardwired connection, factory reset afterwards, and then do a clean install (not from backup).

So install the stable firmware and then do a hardware reset?

Re: WiFi drops when downloading large files
correct.
And make sure to do a clean install. Meaning don't use a backup configuration. If an old setting is causing issues, reinstalling a backup just puts that setting back in there.

Thank you for your help. I will try this.
Curious, how do you know when firmware versions are stable?

Re: WiFi drops when downloading large files
So I have also been having issues with my default gateway is not available. I run Troubleshooting and it resets the ethernet adapter. I have rolled back the firmware version to the version suggested. Today I was getting horrible Upload rates. Like 8meg when I have a 20meg connection. Internet drops out due to the default gateway issue. I reset it. And then my upload rates are fine.
This reset happens randomly about once per week.
