configure Smart Wifi Router with Comcast Cable Modem/router
Cable Modem/Wifi Router is connect to the Nighthawk, but I can't tell if my wireless connection is routing directly to the ARRIS modem/router or the Nighthawk. How can I ensure that the wifi signal we are connecting devices to is using the Nighhawk and not the ARRIS model? I want to ensure we're getting the stongest and fastest wireless signals that the Nighthawk is supposed to be supplying over the ARRIS.
Thank You.

You will need to login into the Arris modem and disable the wifi or set it to modem only mode.

Re: configure Smart Wifi Router with Comcast Cable Modem/router
Which arris modem/router is it?
I've used a few and some are pretty solid device.
It might not be bad to have 2 routers (seperate out devices) if they're setup properly.
For example, you could leave the arris in router mode with the netgear in access point mode.
Then you'd simply make sure they had seperate ssids (names) so you knew which to contect to. You'd also want to make sure they're using different wifi channels to prevent interference.
Or you could simply put the arris in bridge mode (disables its router functions) as @DarrenM mentioned.
