I currently have an AX6000 Orbi Pro setup (1 router + 2 satellites). I'd like to extend range outdoors for better connectivity for outdoor cameras, etc. I did a search of the forums and the RBS50Yv2 looks to be compatible with the Orbi Pro WiFi 6 line but wanted to confirm as much along with also confirming whether it should be setup in Extender or Orbi mode since I saw at last one reference to setting up in Extender.
Thanks,
Bill

there are outdoor AX access points but they'd need to be hardwired.

Re: Outdoor Options for Extending Orbi Pro WiFi 6 Network
As far as I'm aware it only runs in extender mode with the new AX mesh.
Its not compatible in Orbi mode.

Re: Outdoor Options for Extending Orbi Pro WiFi 6 Network
Thanks. Would be nice to have an option that is Wifi 6 and more directly compatible with the AX mesh systems but I guess in the absence of that, this is likely the best option

Definitely prefer as "wire free" a solution as I can find since access to a PoE switch among things could be a challenge.

Re: Outdoor Options for Extending Orbi Pro WiFi 6 Network
Most will run off a POE injector and don't necessarily need a switch.
The WBC502 has an access point mode (netgear airbridge) and can run off a POE injector as well.

Re: Outdoor Options for Extending Orbi Pro WiFi 6 Network
Thanks for the info. Until recently, I haven't really looked into outdoor options but with some of the added outdoor cameras / IoT type stuff I'm looking to add, really need the added range an outdoor AP, etc would provide. I'll definitely take a closer look at these options
