4.2.13 ultra 6 not powering up automatically
Just a note to record that only the auto power off works and even though the log shows a restart is scheduled it never actually restarts. Thanks

There are multiple threads on this subject already.
Download system logs (FrontView>Status>Logs>Download All Logs). Open bios_ver.log, tell me what the contents say.

Re: 4.2.13 ultra 6 not powering up automatically
Chirpa, is the BIOS updated (if needed) as part of the RAIDIATOR install package? I've never seen a separate Readynas BIOS update.

Still not working in 4.2.15. Does this affect everyone or is my Ultra 6 faulty?

Re: 4.2.13 ultra 6 not powering up automatically
My ultra 6 has the same issue, will power off but not come back on at the scheduled time. Also can't seem to get wake on LAN working either. Thought it was just my settings, might be an issue with Ultra's. .. Any advice would be appreciated.

Ultra 6 users experiencing this issue...
Ultra 6 users experiencing this issue:
Download your system logs (FrontView>Status>Logs>Download All Logs). Open bios_ver.log.
If the date in there is before 06/10/10, send me a PM (private message) with your full mailing address (no PO boxes) (and phone number if outside of domestic USA), and I will ship you a USB key which will flash to the BIOS to the latest version (06/10/10).
If you are familiar with Linux/OSX, I can give you a download-able image instead if preferred.
Writing the boot image via Windows is un-reliable, which is why I can ship you the pre-made keys instead (and you get a NETGEAR USB flash key to keep after the BIOS flash is done :))

Doesn't seem to be working although I can't be absolutely sure that the protocol and port I'm using are correct.

Re: 4.2.13 ultra 6 not powering up automatically
I might need to give it a try sometime. I received the USB key yesterday. I've updated the BIOS on the NAS so I should be able to give it a try.

What WOL client do you recommend to run on a Mac, to send the wake-up command to the ReadyNAS?

Re: 4.2.13 ultra 6 not powering up automatically
I used "WakeOnLan" by Dirk Lembens for MAC & Aquila Technology's WOL Windows Apps. They are simple to use and it works fine in both Windows and Mac Enviroment.

Re: 4.2.13 ultra 6 not powering up automatically
For WOL to work do you need to shutdown the ReadyNAS using the power timer? I couldn't get it to work just now even over a direct-connection when I shut it down manually.

WOL not working for me using power timer to shutdown first either. I'm using the Mac app Jedi Knight recommended.
