ReadyNASOS 6.5.0 (RC2) Shows UPS Warning after Installation

After installing 6.5.0 (RC2) I get a device status of UPS Warning.

I never had this with the prior release.

Is there something I need to do to clear this warning?

Installed 6.5.0 RC3 and the UPS is detected again, just like before.

Thanks for getting the fix in.

I had that briefly on the overview after upgrade also, but went into UPS settings, saw it was recognised there OK (green), and returned to the overview and it was then showing as OK (green). For me, the NAS no doubt just needed time to recognise it.

But that probably doesn't help you...

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.5.0 (RC2) Shows UPS Warning after Installation

It looks as if the UPS is no longer auto detected by the NAS.

I am using an APC NS1250 UPS.

In the NAS menu, I select System, Power, UPS.

I then see the screen as shown below:

The unit is attached to the Left Rear USB port.

What am I supposed to enter for Address?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can't manually add a USB-connected NAS.  Both SNMP and Remote UPS options are for monitoring the UPS over ethernet.

Perhaps try moving the USB connector to a different port?

I tried moving to the rear right USB port.  This made no difference.  The NAS no longer auto detects the UPS when connected to a USB port.

It used to work fine with all prior firmware releases.

Am I doing something wrong again?

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.5.0 (RC2) Shows UPS Warning after Installation

OK,  Just for grins I opend the front door of the NAS and connected the UPS to the front port under the cover.  It quickly auto connected to the UPS.

I then tried connecting the UPS back to the rear left USB port and the NAS no longer can detect the UPS.

Does this mean I have to keep the front door open all the time if I want the UPS to be connected?

This is not a good solution.

I sure hope the firmware if fixed before release.

Possibly because the rear ports are USB 3, while the front is USB 2???

Since this worked before, it sounds like a bug that should be fixed.
