ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
Hi upgraded ReadyNAS Remote on iPad to 1.3.4 and now having issues. Can log onto NAS with ReadyNAS Remote account details but my NAS user accounts will not authenticate now. Everything was working fine prior to app upgrade. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling app.

Re: ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
What version of RAIDiator?
Is the ReadyNAS Remote add-on on the NAS up to date?
Can you FTP into the share fine not via ReadyNAS Remote?

ReadyNAS NVX Pioneer Edition
RAIDiator 4.2.20
ReadyNAS Remote add-on v1.0.9.51
I see there is a later version will do that right now.

Re: ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
Nope made no difference. Can log into my shares with FTP client to by the way.
Installed latest ReadyNAS Remote add-on and rebooted NAS
Uninstalled iPad app and reinstalled
I guess I'll have to wait for v1.3.5

Re: ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
I've only ever used Remote on my IOS devices. I can install PC or MAC client if you like?
Previous app on my iPad has worked fine including today. Shame Apple don't offer a rollback feature.
I should note that if I try to authenticate a second time the app crashes both v1.3.4 on iPad2 and iPhone4

Would be worth a shot for trying to help isolate the cause of the problem.

Re: ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
Ok just installed Windows 7 client and worked fine. I also remembered my wife had previously installed on her Macbook Pro so we tested that fine too. IOS update is broken 😞
Thanks for asking all the right questions mdgm. Are you in a position to feedback to the powers that be or do i need to lodge a support ticket?

Re: ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
The new client can use CIFS instead of only FTP like the previous version, how are your settings for that protocol? The Windows/OSX client use CIFS/AFP.

Re: ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
Hi chirpa
CIFS is the main protocol i use, I have enabled FTP purely for ReadyNAS Remote. If the Windows client is not using FTP i can confirm that CIFS is working correctly as far as ReadyNAS Remote is concerned as i have tested with both Win7 and OSX clients and they connect and work without issue.

ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
So v1.3.4 is only CIFS now, not using FTP anymore. The changelog in the AppStore should be getting updated to reflect that better.
For those with connect issues, on the NAS page in the app, click Edit, then the blue arrow on the specific NAS to open its settings. Can you try toggling Guest mode in there and saving to see if that helps connection?

Re: ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
Do you have Guest/Public access for your shares in the CIFS protocol? Have you tried editing the login information in the iPhone app (I detailed that two posts up).

What make/model NAS do you guys have? What firmware on it? Under System>Performance (not all models), do you have 'Optimize for OSX' enabled?

Made no difference. When is the IOS app either being rolled back or v 1.3.5 released? It is clearly the new app. I'm happy to go back to the previous version.

Re: ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
I don't know if/when a roll-back may happen. I've informed the devs for it yesterday, still waiting to find out more.
In the meantime, waiting to get more details from you guys,... NAS and firmware?

Re: ReadyNAS Remote iPad app v1.3.4
I have an open support ticket 18696923
I'm not really getting far i'm stuck in Support Desk Script World where they are asking for screen shots etc... Might be a few months before Netgear acknowledge that IOS app v1.3.4 is the issue not us.
