Hello projektzau,

Based on the logs you have provided it does appear that OS partition is full. May I verify any change in the setting that you make does it it apply or can you change any setting on the NAS at all. Can you still download the complete logs of the NAS from admin page or from the raidar?

Unable to install apps is the biggest problem, i managed to remove a lot of unused apps manually but theres an issue still

i am thinking i need to reset the OS to default but unsure if it can be done without loss of RAID 5 data on the disk array

Hello projektzau,

Performing OS reinstall will not affect the data save on the NAS but make sure to follow the steps carefully. You may try to perform first a Volume balance or Volume scrub and check if it will make a difference.

You can see what's using up the space using commands such as

# mount --bind / /mnt
# du -csh /mnt/*

Once you know what's filling it (e.g. a huge log file) then one can determine the best way forward.

Do you have any links for guides to do this?

I suggest running the commands @mdgm-ntgr suggests, and then post the result (showing where the bulk of the space is going).
