Firmware Updates - Never Auto Reboots
Everytime I apply a firmware update to my RN104 it shuts down and says "rebooting - see you soon". But then it just sits there forever.
I have to physically remove the power cable and plug back in for it to reboot.
Anyone else found this and is there any way to fix it?

Re: Firmware Updates - Never Auto Reboots
I see you have some apps installed. Have you tried updating any apps that are old versions to the latest version?
Your logs are being flooded with entries for the Bonjour service.
This flooding means that it is difficult to determine what is going on.
Have you tried rebooting when not doing a firmware update? If so, did that work?
If you disable the CUPS print server are you able to reboot?

Re: Firmware Updates - Never Auto Reboots
Thanks for the reply. 🙂
CUPS is not active and turned off, as is the Plex service, its only the Anti-Virus Plus that is running. It reboots fine when you request a normal restart not part of an upgrade. But since I don't use those 2 services I'll delete them.
Bonjour isn't that Apple? Separately I've been chatting to support as my Mac is not able to see the ReadyNas as a Time Machine server and hasn't for some time even after the latest update to 6.2.4 where there were TM fixes I hoped would work.........

Re: Firmware Updates - Never Auto Reboots
Well technically the service on the NAS is the avahi service. It's the Linux service used for advertisements that are compatible with Apple's Bonjour.
Just attached your logs to your case.
You could try disabling the AV service to see if that helps (to assist with isolating the cause of the problem).

Re: Firmware Updates - Never Auto Reboots
You cracked it. I've removed the Anti Virus Plus app just back to normal AV and now my Mac sees the ReadyNas Time Machine disk fine and a backup is in process!!
Nice one 😎
