Hi,
may anybody now why the "Data" volume shows the following strange negative space and only the snapshot space is shown?
FW is 6.9.3
I can access my data using win10 explorer. Data seem to be there.
Furthermore the backup share shows a strange figure for the consumed space, too:
Thanks for any help
Carsten

Try disabling quota on the volume settings wheel, not the share settings wheel. Then enable it again.

Re: Inaccurate reporting of used/free volume space?
Hi @cwangnick
Welcome to the Community!
Have you enable Quotas? Can you try disabling then re-enabling the feature if you have it enabled.
Also might not hurt to clean the cache of your browser and re-access the admin page.

Re: Inaccurate reporting of used/free volume space?
The space used on shares and total space used by snapshots on the volume uses quotas on the volume even if you haven't set any on a particular share. The option is configurable under System > Volumes (click on the Settings wheel for the volume, go down to Settings and in the Summary section you'll see a checkbox for Quota).
You could try disabling quotas on the volume and re-enabling them. This should force a quota rescan.

Re: Inaccurate reporting of used/free volume space?
Thanks for your feedback & hints!
I tried to set quota for the share having the questionable size. it does not work, neither for 1 Mb, 1 TB oder 20000000 TB (more than the questionable size shown for the "Backup"-Share). See picture below...
Quota worked for another share. I set a quota and than disabled it again. No change of the size of the "Backup"-Share or the whole "Data" volume.

Re: Inaccurate reporting of used/free volume space?
Thank you Stephen.
disabling / enabling of quota on Volume level was the solution. Now the volume space is correctly displayed
Is this a bug if you use quota?
Sincerely
Carsten

Re: Inaccurate reporting of used/free volume space?
Hi Marc,
your hint with the volume rescan finally worked.
Thanks also to you!
Different Topic:
There are just small "mistakes" in the German translation:
It should say "Freier Speicher"
Furthermore it is not clear what "Geben Sie i...." should say.
In English it is "Type" and why is it not "Typ" in German?
Cheers
Carsten

It looks like it.
