RN 2120v2 - File System Read Only
I have an RN2120v2 that has locked my files now for the 4th time. The first time it happened I called and paid for the support request to get some assistance only to be told in the end I had to wipe it and start over from scratch. The next couple times it happened I just went ahead and restored the system to factory. However, it has happened now a 4th time and I am really curious if anyone else has had these problems and knows what is causing it to happen? We are using the ReadyNAS as a Veeam Backup repository. We have nightly backups take place that are saved to the ReadyNAS. I also have backup jobs on the ReadyNAS setup to backup the Veeam Backup files from the ReadyNAS to external drives. These happen about once or twice a week depending on the backup. For the most part the backups continue to work flawlessly until the ReadyNAS decides to go into full system read only mode.
Has anyone had any similiar issues or know what might be causing this to continue to lock up? The only way I have found to get the NAS back is to completely restore to factory default.
Model = RN2120v2
Firmware = 6.9.2
Storage = 4 x 10TB drives (first time this happened was when we had the 4 x 3TB factory drives in it.)
Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping I don't have to wipe this thing again.

Re: RN 2120v2 - File System Read Only
What do you mean by "locked my files"? Do you mean that the entire volume has gone to read-only status? There should be something in the log zip file that gives a hint as to why that might have happened.
Is the NAS on a power schedule, or is it running 24x7? Is the NAS crashing or rebooting unexpectedly?
How full is the data volume? Are snapshots enabled? Did you look at the SMART stats for the disks?
Is the Veem Backup repository an iSCSI LUN or a network share?

Yes, the entire volume has gone to read-only status. I am unable to write to any portion of the volume. I am still looking through the log zip file but so far have not found anything.
NAS is on 24x7, no crashing or rebooting.
Data volume has about 30% free. Snapshots are not enabled. As for the SMART stats, are you referring to the Smart_history log?
Veeam Backup repository is setup as network share.

Yes, though the information is also in disk_info.log and volume.log

I'd expect mdadm or btrfs errors in system.log or kernel.log. Though there might be other places to look.
Perhaps also look at the OS partition fullness. You'll find that information at the very end of volume.log. Something like this:
