Ready NAS Duo v2 can`t change IP

I have dusted the dust off my ReadyNas Duo v2. I found it in the basement, and had completely forgotten that it existed.

But, when I try to start it up, I can`t seem to access it.

I see it in Netgear Raidar, and find the ip adress, but it`s not on my local network. I try to change the IP for my PC to ReadyNas Duo V2 network range, but still can`t connect.

I try to connect directly from PC to ReadyNas Duo V2, but can`t connect to it.

I reset it via the reset button and rebuild the OS (should be drive 2 that lights up), with no luck at all.

In Raidar the status says Corrupt root.

What can I do in order to access it? Shouldn`t the OS rebuild reset the network address as well?

Need some good advice. I have 2X3 TB inside the box.

Help and advice much appreciated

Model: RND2210v2|ReadyNAS Duo v2 2TB (2 X 1TB Desktop)

And yes, it`s a V2. It says so on the model itself, and when I use Mr Raidar. I always have coffee when I watch mr. Raidar

Try doing a factory default - which will reformat the drives and do a fresh factory install.

If you want to examine/offload data first, then you can connect one of the disks to a Windows PC (either with a USB adapter/dock or SATA), and use R-linux for Windows ( https://www.r-studio.com/free-linux-recovery/ ).

I gave you a way to off-load anything on the drives.

If the OS reinstall didn't work, then there isn't much you can do.  Paid Netgear Support (my.netgear.com) might be able to rebuild the OS remotely, so you could go down that path if you like.

Re: Ready NAS Duo v2 can`t change IP

Thank you for your response.

I changed PC in the end, and did exactly the same thing (IP, submask), and connected via the same switch.

I could actually ping the ReadyNas Duo 2. Trying to access it via ip/admin was no good though, but it might be another address on this than other.

thank you!
