ReadyNAS 3220 management service offline

I have been using this ReadyNAS 3220, firmware version 6.6.1, on my office windows network with a few shares on it but it was never actually added to the domain. I needed to start using permissions on the shares so decided to add it to the domain, Windows 2008RS server. All seemed to go well at first, the device appeared in Active Directory as expected. I noticed that the fields for joining the doamin such as password did not grey out as they should have after joining. I waited for several hours and even tried pressing "Apply" several times to join but those fields never greyed out. At that point I tried a reboot of the NAS. Upon reboot I found that the Admin page was no longer accessible. The shares were still there and I have copied all data from them so no worries about losing data. I would prefer to restore access to the Admin page without a total reset of the system if at all possible. The only information I could find about this issue is that it occurs about 10% of the time when connecting to an AD and the solution was to contact Netgear support.

Can you download the logs using RAIDar 6.2 and send those in (see the Sending Logs link in my sig)?

Re: ReadyNAS 3220 management service offline

Thanks.

The key journal logs are missing so I can't fully diagnose it.

You could possibly update to 6.7.1 Beta 1 via https://ip.address.of.nas/fwbroker and see if that helps.

Re: ReadyNAS 3220 management service offline

I updated the firmware as instructed but there was no change to the Admin Panel access, management service is still offline. The log file seems to contain many more items so prehaps it now contains the journal logs you require. I have sent it to via email to your attention.
