Hi,
So, I have a ReadyNAS 3312, and an existing 20TB RAID6 data volume on it, with around 11TB of free space on that volume. Used for some shares at the moment.
Now, I'd like to create a 2TB iSCSI LUN. Am I correct in understanding that I can create this LUN on the 11TB of free space I have on my datavolume and it won't affect my existing shares?
Thanks.

So, I decided just to try this. And it worked, iSCSI LUN's can coexist on the same volume with SMB shares.
