ReadyNAS NVX Business Edition problem
I have had this unit for over a year, up until a month or so back its been working fine
I mainly use it for downloading via flexget and transmission, so only TV episodes and films on it
about a month ago all devices on my network started to disconnect and reconnect every few minutes or less, doesn't matter if they are wired or wireless, after trying various routers without success, i finally worked out it was the ReadyNAS NVX
when its connected to the network, all devices including the NVX disconnect then reconnect, when its not connected to the network, all devices work fine
i have tried using Lan 1 and Lan 2 (still disconnects), tried both together (still disconnects), tried resetting the NVX to factory default (same thing)
updated the firmware to RAIDiator 4.2.27 (same thing)
i am completely confused as to why this happens when the NVX is connected to the network
i have tried a few different routers
2x Netgear DGN2000
2x Netgear DG834GT
1x Linksys WAG354G v2
has anyone got any suggestions what i can try next?

- vandermerweMasterWhat other devices are you referring to?
Is the dhcp server on the nas off?
Are you using dhcp to assign addresses or static addresses for the LAN devices?
What addons are installed on the nas?
Have you tried running the nas with no addons? - KymruAspirantMorning
Other devices would be 2 raspberry pi's running openelec (wired)
My desktop running windows 7 (wired)
2x android phones, Xperia z2 and Samsung note 2 (wireless)
2x nexus 7 (wireless)
Xperia z2 tablet and Samsung tab 7"(wireless)
Sometimes an iPhone and ipab (wireless)
All the above are never connected at the same time
DHCP on the nas is off, the nas uses a static ip assigned by the router
Addons currently installed are transmission and python, I have flexget installed by command line - vandermerweMasterOK.
Turn off the addons and see if the problem persists.
If it does not, then start each one in turn and check for the problem.
Also try deleting (not downloading) all the logs.
Have you checked the fullness of the OS partition using ssh? - KymruAspirantOk, can't turn off python, transmission is off
Logs cleared, how do I check the fullness of the OS partition? - vandermerweMasterDid either of those make a difference?
There are no devices on the LAN that are perhaps using the same IP address? , and you're sure you don't have a dhcp range that includes the reserved address ?
Ssh in, then
# df -h
# df -i
The first line result of each will tell you about Inodes free and space free in the OS partition - KymruAspirantI have the readynas assigned to 192.168.0.120 on land 1, lan 2 is assigned to 192.168.0.130,
the 2 raspberry pi's are higher again at 192.168.0.180 and 192.168.0.190,
my computer is assigned 192.168.0.2
And anything on WiFi that isn't assigned is at 192.168.0.200 - 250

ReadyNAS:~# - vandermerweMasterThat all seems fine.
I would not use more than one of the LAN ports on that unit.
I'm sure you've already checked and tried replacing the cable that the nas is connected with.
It is very odd.
When you factory defaulted the unit did you set it up without any addons first to test whether the problem is reproduced.
The one thing you have not excluded is a problem created by one of the addons. - KymruAspirantI am getting the same problem with or without transmission enabled, may wipe it again and check if it happens after the wipe, I may try python 2.7 via apt-get instead of the plugin
- KymruAspirantAny idea which repository to use on my nas for apt-get, forgot to check
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSo you've already wiped the NAS? Are you still getting the issue currently?
