Hi There,
My NAS was working fine this weekend, all the sudden i was locked out of frontview and out of my shares. so i tought of a hack, took the internet cable out of the modem and went investigating.
Since i was not getting in anymore i decided to do a OS Reinstall. because that would reset password settings and leave my data untouched.
My data is still there but i cannot reach it anymore. Eventually i could only reach it trough WINSCP, not trough windows network. i could also see the Volume in frontview, but not my shares.
Since the error of the title came up i could not see the volume or the data in WINSCP, i can see the rest of the Readynas OS in WINSCP. but the /data folder is empty.
i tried mounting as suggested in this thread : https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-in-Business/Remove-inactive-volumes-to-use-the-disk-Disk-1... but that didnt work. ( not much inderstanding of linux commands also so that line maybe incorrect for me)
All my disks passed the self tests in the logs, only weird thing i find in the volume log is that i cant find my big raid volume, biggest volume is 4G en that is /dev/md0, no other filesystems than that or tmpfs.
Is there a way to fix this with my Data resqued? hopefully there is with these disks, as i dont have 5tb free to backup, and Most of it is media that has no 2nd backup, not a terrible thing, but still a shame if it was lost.
Is there anybody who can help? greatly appriciated!
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Hi Nightraider89,
The issue should be fixed already. The NAS was already booted in Normal Mode. Please check if you can now access the volume.

Re: Remove inactive volumes to use the disk. Disk 1,2,3.
Hi Nightraider89,
I saw this on dmesg.log
[Fri Oct 5 16:03:07 2018] BTRFS error (device md127): parent transid verify failed on 361463808 wanted 935883 found 935880
[Fri Oct 5 16:03:07 2018] BTRFS error (device md127): parent transid verify failed on 361463808 wanted 935883 found 935880
[Fri Oct 5 16:03:07 2018] BTRFS warning (device md127): failed to read log tree
This usually indicate that the unit shut off before it was finished writing the data.
We can try to do some corrective change via back end access. You may boot the NAS in Tech Support or enable Secure Diagnostic mode and PM me the 5-digit port number.

Re: Remove inactive volumes to use the disk. Disk 1,2,3.
Hi John,
The problem with the drives is indeed fixed. i have my DATA volume back in frontview and winscp, thank you very much for that!
do you also have a idea how to get the shares back? there are none, just as when the problem started. with no shares i can not acces it normally over the network.
i do not want to try on my own making new shares with the same names, as it could possibly ruin the data again?

Re: Remove inactive volumes to use the disk. Disk 1,2,3.
When i added SMB it did started to work, dont know if that is supposed to be on? at least i can see it in normal windows network, still no Shares in frontview.
If that is no problem for normal operating than it is no point
fresh set of logs will be in the same link i sent you earlier! in about 5 min.
Thanks!

Re: Remove inactive volumes to use the disk. Disk 1,2,3.
Hi Nightraider89,
You may try clearing web browser cache, then close and re-open it. Check if you will be able to see the Shares on the admin page.

Hi Nightraider89,
Can you enable the Secure Diagnostic Mode on your NAS? We will do some changes again via back end access.
