Hi All,
ReadyNAS duo V2. Lost password that'll teach me to neglect back ups;) I tried the OS reinstall, turn off, hold in reset button, turn on and wait for flash of leds. What happens is the leds come on after five seconds and stay on. I have left the reset button pressed for up to 20 seconds to no avail. THe result is that the ReadyNAS doesn;t boot up, the power switch is ineffective so I have to pull the plug. When I turn it on it can be seen by Raidar bt not accesed without the old passwqord. The default netgear1 does not work.
Any Idears?
Thanks for your time.

The boot menu instructions for the Duo v2 are here: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/21100
The default admin password is "password" (no quotes).

Re: Resetting OS, disk leds do not flash OS not reset.
Do you have the v1 or the v2?: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how-to-tell-whether-i-have-a-duo-v1-or-duo-v2-or-nv-v1-or-nv-v2/
Sounds like you followed the boot menu instructions for the v1 and tried the default password for the v1.

All that tells me is that it is either a v1 hardware revision 2 or a v2. Please have a look at the article I linked to.
