Switch drive positions
Hi,
is it possible to shutdown the system, re-arrange the drive positions and start again without data loss?
Thanks

Re: Switch drive positions
Why would you want to? The only case I can think of where it might be useful is if you want to put empty slots between drives to reduce temps.
It's supposed to work, but...

Re: Switch drive positions
That's exactly the use case. I switched to 8TB drives and they run pretty hot. Unfortunately only one is one the top line but three fill all slots on the bottom. So I would like to move them into the corners so more air is in between them.

Re: Switch drive positions
It should work, perhaps give Netgear a chance to confirm.
