Hello, can anyone with netgear tell me me what type of RAID the ReadyNAS 516 uses? Is it hardware or software raid ?
Can't seem to find a straightforward answer, thank you
All OS-6 platforms use mdadm (software raid). Some OS 6 platforms can take advantage of RAID acceleration hardware (for instance the RN104) - but they still are using mdadm. I don't know if the RN516 has any hardware acceleration support or not.
