21 TopicsOrbi LBR20: turn it off at night?
I am using a VDSL router, next to the LBR20. On a phone call with my internet provider (Vodafone in Germany) I was told that the VDSL router is supposed to remain turned on at all times, even at night. I was wondering if this is true for the LBR20 as well. I often turn it off at night. Is there any reason not to do that? The fact that neither the Orbi app nor the device itself has a button/option for turning off WiFi might suggest that this is supposed to be an always-on device. It connect to the internet via a SIM card mobile internet plan. Why shouldn't it be as flexible as a smartphone in terms of turning the device on and off?LM1300 - NETGEAR no longer supports
I purchased a LM1300 in September 2024. I opened a problem case (48674607) in November 2024. I purchased a PREMIUM support contract in November 2024. This case is still open in October 2025. The product does not work as advertised. Last contact with L2 NETGEAR indicated NETGEAR does not have resources to resolve my problem. I wonder how long until all products have this result! If you plug the M5 / MR5200 into a wired switch with it's own Internet access, will the M5 act as an access point? If so... What happens if you wire two M5s together? Nighthawk M5 5G WiFi 6 Mobile Router (MR5200) working but can't connect to data Your data connection is disconnected. Netgear support and the the provider Vodafone Support say all the settings are good and it should work. But its not working and is becomming a very expensive brick. We dont use it that often but at times we need it. I see alot of other people are having simular problems. I try connecting the Nighthawk router direct to an external erial and if that doesn't work I have to look for something to replace what we have. Is there another mobil router that people recommend that has good support and isn't so expensive.Cant update DC112A to latest Firmware
Hi, When I do a firmware check from within Netgear Genie it says it is the latest (V1.0.0.42_1.0.60) but when I check on the Netgear web site it says the latest is V1.0.0.62_1.0.60 which is 8 updates more. So I downloaded & extracted it & tried to upload it manually it says "This firmware file is incorrect! Please get the firmware file again and make sure it is the correct firmware for this product." Anyone got a fix for this? Thanks Tag Like810s loses signal when docked into DC112a
I know this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the answer. I have several 810s mobile hot spots. I bought a DC112a to extend the signal & added an external aerial & all was fine for a while then all of a sudden no internet. When I looked at the 810s mobile signal strength & the was just a circle with a bar through it. I found if I took it out of the cradle the signal returned so I connected the aerial to the 810s then to the cradle via the USB & again this worked for a while but then did the same thing. Take it off the Air Card & it worked perfectly (Mostly) I tried my spares & they all did the same thing. This is all post 2016 & I am sure all devices are the latest firmware. Upon checking 810 build date is Dec 2019 NTG9X40C_11.14.08.40 & I'm sure I updated the 112 too. I couldn't get it to work so I bought another & without going into it the above happened to the new one. As soon as any of my 3 or 4 810s are placed in the cradle the 810 loses signal. Original it was just too boost the signal but I have a few spare old routers they can be configured into wifi extenders but they need to plug into a LAN point to do this. Has anyone else sorted this out?
