Hey all. I'm a total noob to most of this stuff so please take it easy on me! But I did just purchase a wifi 6 router in the Nighthawk AX5400. My point of this post is to try and gather information to help me get the best performance out of this router. Unfortunately where I live 250mb is the best internet available to me, so that's what I have. I have it connected to my modem using a cat 8 ethernet cable. I've heard you can get better performance out of routers according to what channel you choose for your network? Or by changing the mghz or something? I live in a smaller town/neighborhood and when I search for networks in range there are probably only 3 to 4 neighbors networks that pop up. Thank you all in advance for your tips!Rax200 Different SSID for each channel, Upgrade router with channel 6,
Hi, I would like to replace my (RAX200-(2.4, 5-1, 5-2 bands each setup with different SSID)). I want to keep the same 3 unique SSID and passwords when i upgrade. QUESTION; New devices seem to have tri 2.4, 5, 6 bands instead of the tri 2.4,5-1 & 5-2 of the RAX200. Can i still use my same 3 unique SSID and passwords on a new router that has (2.4, 5, 6, band format)? Will my devices still connect to the new 2.4,5,6 bands if i use my same SSID from my RAX200, and the 6 band be set up with the SSID & password used on the 5-2 band of the RAX200. I am guessing I am not the only one that does not want to change SSID and passwords of their devices when upgrading wireless routers Thank youAX5400 RAX50v2 Bridgeing
I just got the AX5400 a couple of hours ago. I specifically got it for the wireless bridging capabilities. There was nothing in the listing or on the packaging to indicate that this was the RAX50v2. I specifically got it from the Netgear section on Amazon. On the webpage for the wireless bridging I saw that RAX50v2 does have support for wireless bridging. Is my only option to return the router? Or are the they firmware compatible and I can reflash the RAX50v2 with the RAX50 firmware? Is the Wifi 6E support team alive?
I have spent four hours on hold for the team that supports the 6E wifi routers. Nobody on other support teams can tell me how long their wait time is - or if they are answering their phone at all. I am concerned that this team might be MIA. Did everyone quit? Was there a natural disaster? Perhaps their internet has been down for days? I hope someone at Netgear can find a way to reach them to see if they are all OK. It is very concerning for a company to lose all contact with one of their departments for days on end.Nighthawk AX8 8-Stream WiFi Router - Buyer's Guide

Hola Everyone, I am RLMsDumbLovr22 (Rebecca Lynn Millwards Dumb Lover). I am in need of some assistance in securing my new Nighthawk AX4200. Just purchased this a few weeks back. I am using it for work and need it secured. My wife and I had a different Netgear product, but that product is flawed and cheated too many times to forgive or redeem itself. There seems to be an obvious pattern of the product cheating while out of town and can. It's repetitive issue dates back even before the 2015 Ashley Madison leak, in which it was involved in. Everything/Everyone has flaws but, the worst part is this particular item won't admit its mistakes. I admit I have made mistakes and am flawed as well, but I am still wanting restoration. It took a little time and some professional help from alot of people who care too much to watch me blindly be #2, but the proof is there. Now this original product (est April 2011) changes identities online often as well as physical appearance in hopes of successfully deceiving. I would attach a picture of the original product, but I'm afraid it wouldn't help because it changed appearance often, in an attempt to throw off its scent to anyone looking for answers. Who would like to help out? Thanks #enjoy🖤RAX120 question about wan/multigig
Hello, I have just upgraded my broadband speed to 1GB+ with expected speeds around 1150mb/s. I was looking into getting a router that would support speeds of over 1gb. I saw that the RAX120 has a 2.5gb ethernet port, I also have a 2.5gb port on my desktop so I was hoping to get the full speed available. My main worry is that I read somewhere that the wan port is only a standard gigabit port. So what would be the point of the a 2.5g port if the main wan port itself is only standard gigabit? Sorry if it's a stupid question, just trying to work out the best way I can maximize speed over ethernet for my PC. Have I got this mixed up? Never had to look into stuff like this before. Thanks so muchSolvedAX1800 Router and AP (Satellite)
Looking at the Nighthawk AX1800 Mesh WiFi. The picture of the back of the AX1800 has Ethernet and Internet (yellow). When this is used as a AP (satellite) can it be wired and the mesh still works? The APs that we are replacing (3) are all wired. The building wall material mandates all APs be wired. Thanks, DarrylNighthawk AX6 AX5400(RAX50) Change device Name for attached devices

I am looking to replace my Netgear Nighthawk R6900 router with the Netgear Nighthawk RAX80. My home is about 3200 square feet and I need the router to be able to handle 35-40 connected devices. Will this router be a good choice based on the information I provided? Please advise.
