126 TopicsAnyone else want a refund for the Orbi that Netgear is slowly bricking via Forced Firmware?
So in the past day since updating to the latest firmware, my devices are losing connectivity 2-5 times per hour. What in the world did you guys do? Send out firmware to basically brick our $400 router? I have spent too much time wasted trying to get my Orbi router fixed in the past few days, than all my other routers in the last 15 years combined. I would just like a refund. I feel like you guys are purposefully making this router worse with each and every firmware update. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that wants a refund for this router, that was once the best to being a pure joke. Even your app seems to be glitchy as ever lately. Where do you update your CC info for your Armor subscription? I got the 30-day trail during that time my card had to be reported stolen. I tried to update the info with the new card, but I can't find anyplace to do it. I called but the guy on the phone would not listen, kept saying I had a year subscription, so I was good. Could not get him to understand that the card was going to be declined when they went to charge it after the trail. Got the email that it happened, and it asked me to update my CC info - but no place to do it! Thought maybe I could just sign up again on the app, but it just keeps saying something went wrong updating Armor status with the error code: ARM-PYMT-EXP. Anyone know how to get my payment info updated and the service reinstated? Armor continues to fail to protect us. It worked fine until we renewed and now all of a sudden it constantly says it is expired even though somehow it updated the dates of the subscription to reflect the new expiration dates. Somehow there's a disconnect and no troubleshooting steps are helping at all. There was a payment issue at first where Netgear charged us twice and had to remove one charge from the account. Now they removed the one charge and for some reason we are here with this mess. Idk what to do. I need this security for my partner's job and without it he loses money. This isn't ok. It needs to be fixed. I've tried reaching out and nobody is any help at all. I've got all the screenshots etc. But for privacy reasons won't share them just to anyone out in the open. We can see the transaction was finalized and they did take the money. We have a full receipt for it too. Yet here we are now. Things were fine then suddenly they're not. I'm freaking out because everything literally everything is now at risk on our network and it's not ok. System wouldn't let me put in my Orbi RBR50...plus two satellites. Anyway... got this big announcement about Orbi and BitDefender.... what does it do in the router? I am familiar with bit defender in my PC, tablet or phone... but what does it do in my router? Does it maintain a blacklist or use heuristics to identify bad things or what to defend my Ring, foscam cameras, printers etc? There is absolutely NOTHING about what it does and how it does it... i get a free month of what? It told me device by device as it found everyone on my network, hurrahs... but nothing about setting up a profile for a camera, a printer or a Doorbell. Anyone got a URL of what this is And why I should spend $$$ per year? I already have anti-everything that I like on all my devices, so I don't need another partnered license for something that's not as good as what I already have.
