Orbi Model: RBK53 V2 (with additional satellite i.e 3 Satellites and 1 Router) Firmware Version: 2.5.1.16 (Updated Manually) I have replaced my NightHawk system with Orbi Mesh System couple of months back and since then have tried different settings to arrive at the most stable Orbi configuration. Here's what I have found to have worked for me and system has been fairly stable with below configurations - 01. Enable Implicit Beamforming, MU-MIMO and WMM. 02. Daisy Chain - Activate if more than 2 satellite. 03. Fast Roaming - Disable 04. Armor - Optional (Negligible impact on performance) 05. Disable IPv6 06. Enable 20/40Mhz Coexistence 07. Logs - Untick logging of DoS attacks and Port scans 08. Channel 1 for 2.4 Ghz and Channel 36 for Ghz 09. Guest Network - Disabled 10. Remote Management - Disabled 11. Static IP Address for all Satellites and connected devices Let me know what's your configuration and if tweaking any other setting has helped you achieve better performance and stable Wifi. Issues observed: 1. My phone disconnects and reconnects while roaming in the mesh Wifi network. This is specific to my phone only and other devices are working fine. 2. Hey gang, Just upgraded my Orbi to the latest firmware and, when I try to activate Armor, I keep getting the error message "Device is off-line" (see screenshot). What I've done so far: 1. Power cycled the Orbi (pulled power cable, waited 10 seconds, and plugged it back in) 2. Tried accessing on different iOS devices I'm reluctant to do a factory reset because I also have Circle running and it can be a pain getting it back up after a reset. Has anyone successfully gotten Armor working on their Orbi? If so, what did you do? Is anyone running Armor AND Circle on the same device? Thanks, evilCan't update payment info for Armor
Where do you update your CC info for your Armor subscription? I got the 30-day trail during that time my card had to be reported stolen. I tried to update the info with the new card, but I can't find anyplace to do it. I called but the guy on the phone would not listen, kept saying I had a year subscription, so I was good. Could not get him to understand that the card was going to be declined when they went to charge it after the trail. Got the email that it happened, and it asked me to update my CC info - but no place to do it! Thought maybe I could just sign up again on the app, but it just keeps saying something went wrong updating Armor status with the error code: ARM-PYMT-EXP. Hi all I have Netgear R7800 sincel last year. I bought it for playing online on my PS4 Suddenly yesterday the internet connection for wifi is drop. I tried use wired from my ps4 to my netgear an everything just fine. But when i use wifi 2Ghz or 5Ghz in the middel of match the internet connection is drop alot. I have reset, enable/disable qos and update latest firmware and still the problem is not solve my Firmware Version V1.0.2.58 Could you please help me? So in the past day since updating to the latest firmware, my devices are losing connectivity 2-5 times per hour. What in the world did you guys do? Send out firmware to basically brick our $400 router? I have spent too much time wasted trying to get my Orbi router fixed in the past few days, than all my other routers in the last 15 years combined. I would just like a refund. I feel like you guys are purposefully making this router worse with each and every firmware update. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that wants a refund for this router, that was once the best to being a pure joke. Even your app seems to be glitchy as ever lately. How do I ger rid of this Armor crap? I can no longer use my paid VPN from years ago. This armor/bitfender crap shows my location, it's not secured. I did a factory reset and this crap came back, the stupid app activated last night when I saw the app got updated. Looks like I will be shopping for a new router today and never again Netgear, this was a waste of $300. I can only use my paid VPN on my PC since it's not connected to this Arnor crap. Ecxept I can't take my PC and make calls/text people while being out.
