ReadyCLOUD is currently supported on the R7000 Router. The D7000 Modem / Router appears to be technically / functionally similiar to the R7000 Router. Is it possible for a future firmware upgrade to enable ReadyCLOUD on the D7000 Modem / Router? If not, what are the obstacles?18KViews0likes1CommentR7000/Add additional ReadyCloud users-NO ReadyNAS
Since I bought this device under the impression I could setup a home Cloud storage solution, I am very dissapointed to learn (after days of HORRIBLE technical issues with your servers/databases and inability to login/configure properly) - that I can only associate a single NetGear account to the shares at all! The idea here is that my wife/children/myself could easily backup our phone photos or documents from our individual devices (phones/tablets/laptops) and track/manage at the account level (i.e. we each have our own account). What I am finding instead is a HUGE security flaw, as it requires using a single-account across multiple devices (shared account is a HUGE SECURITY NO-NO!) and it doesn't give us the ability to track usage at the individual level. Just based on my experience with the Nighthawk product and now the ReadyCloud product, I have to say that the idea of "upgrading" to a ReadyNAS isn't very popular. If this restriction was put in place to nerf the Nighthawk capabilties, it's really just backfiring. Instead of giving users the great experience at the entry-level and setting a foundation for future upgrades (to a ReadyNAS) you're just completing turning the users off instead! Please fix this ASAP. Otherwise you are really just pushing us away from using your hardware and buying actual cloud storage from Microsoft OneDrive.17KViews0likes1CommentHow to backup from remote to local
I am looking for help on the best method to do scheduled weekly backups from a local NAS to a remote NAS. Both NAS's are running OS 6.6.1 Local NAS is ReadyNAS Pro 6 Remote NAS is ReadyNAS 516 Both NAS's are connected to readycloud. I am assuming the best method is to schedule backup jobs to run on the local NAS and send the files to the remote NAS. One Backup job for each share. I assume the best protocol is Rsync over remote SSH. Both NAS's Have Rsync protocall set to read/write for each share. What entry do I put in the host field. I would like to schedule the jobs to run weekly during low use times to reduce network traffic. Any help would be appreciated.13KViews0likes17CommentsEnable to add a second ReadyCloud user on R7000
Hi There are at least two post (an older and a newer one) both of them request to have a second user beeing able to manage data on the external storage of R7000 through ReadyCloud. See here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/R7000-Add-additional-ReadyCloud-users-NO-ReadyNAS/m-p/1126093#M37434 and here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/Second-user-on-ReadyCloud-and-R7000/m-p/1273768#M55757 I did not find a comparable post in the ideas board, an now, here it is. I'd really appreciate if such a feature was added to R7000. Regards Maguggi12KViews0likes1CommentReadyCLOUD isn't Syncing
Hi, Read some related threads and couldn't find a solution. I have a PC directory on the readycloud and it's synced. I was off site and needed to do some work. I accessed the file (.PSD) via the ReadyCLOUD and save 6 files to the same dir (.JPG, PDF & PSD). When I got home I checked my local dir expecting to see the new files there, they were not there.... I checked the ReadyCLOUD (from home) and the new files were there. Any ideas why they didn't Sync?? ReadyCLOUD says the dir/folder is synced.. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks in advance! Es kommt immer die Meldung "Invalid credentials or service is unavailable". Hat jemand einen Tipp? Danke !!!Solved7.5KViews0likes15CommentsSuppression Mycompte Netgear
Merci d'avanceSolved7.4KViews0likes8CommentsReadycloud windows 10 App 1.16.1297.525
I have Windows 10 operating two computers. There was a recent Windows 10 update (July 2017) from Windows. I made the Windows 10 update to these two computers last week and the previous version of ReadyCLOUD for Backup and Sync on these two computers. The previous version of ReadyCLOUD (prior to 1.16.1297.525) was working just fine on the Windows 10 update. Today, my ReadyCloud App said there was a new update (1.16.1297.525) and I proceed with the ReadyCLOUD App update, however, during the install process I got the following message on both computers: "Error Opening file for writing" "Program Files (x86)\NETGEAR\Remote\Bin\Incomservice.dll" Now what do I do to get past this Error in Windows 10 and get the ReadyCLOUD to install on my two computers?7.3KViews1like12Comments
