CG3000D will reset but network remains password protected
I bought this router used and pushed the factory reset button when I plugged it in. It shows factory SSID but it’s password protected! I can not login to my network to make changes. I then held the factory reset button for 30 seconds and then disconnected power and plugged back in and my SSID is now 000000 still password protected. When I have to Reboot my Lenovo ideapad 70017ISK Laptop the Internet quits working. The Ethernet connection shows service and when I run the Windows 10 Troubleshooting it doesn't show any problems but I still can't connect to any Websites with the Browser. What I have to do is Reset the CM500 and then I can connect to the Web again. Any help would be greatly appreciated!Factory Default Reset is MESSED UP on N450 CG3000Dv2
I was using my N450 with Time Warner, then switched so I decided to sell it. I tried resetting it to factory default, but when it finished, the result was a completely different SSID than the one printed on the side, and of course the pass key didn't work. The sticker on the side says the factory default ssid should be D3DA66, with password (key) 3HW143WE019AE (same as the serial #). But after repeated attempts at resetting it (including holding it down for 30 seconds with no power and then for 30 more seconds after plugging it in), it keeps going to ssid CG3000DV260. anyone... know why it's doing this? how to get it to return to the settings printed on the side? a default password key for ssid CG3000DV260, if one exists? i'd be happy with an answer to any of the questions above.Status lights all flash amber except the internet status light and restart.
I've searched the database and can't find an answer to my problem. Randomly my modem (CM500), starting flashing all Amber lights. The power light starts of green and the downstream/upstream start to flash amber as if it's going to connect and then all lights except the internet light lights up anger and it starts all over again. I've tried unplugging all connections. I've tried a hard reset numerous times. I've tried updating firmware with a hard Ethernet convection and nothing works. Has anyone had this issue and have been able to resolve it? My modem isn't even a year old and sadly I can't locate my receipt to get a new one under warranty. ThanksCannot reset CMD31T modem
Have not been able to factory reset this piece of crap since the day I bought it. Time warner swears they don't reprogram modems, modem manufacturers tell me they give them update software. Which one of you is a liar ? I cannot troubleshoot an intermittent connection because I cannot get modem information even after hard reset. Getting REALLY p*ssed off.
