Just got one of these, specifically for the bridge mode. For use in Canada on the Bell Mobility LTE network (which I understand is supposed to be compatible. Had the SIM in a Huwei hub provided by Bell, which worked just fine. Anyway, put the SIM in the Netgear, powered on and connected directly to my PC with Ethernet. Log in and it indicates that I'm disconnected. Interestingly, it shows me an SMS, so at least those are coming through. I check the APN settings and notice it's set to pda.bell.ca. Check on the Bell site, and for turbo sticks it's supposed to be set to inet.bell.ca. So I change it. Still no connectivity. So I try manually selecting the network. When I scan, it usually shows me three networks. Bell, Rogers, and sometimes Telus but other times EXT. I have no idea what EXT is. The first time I do this, it shows Rogers as current. So I think that must be the problem. I select Bell and wait. Nothing happens. Try it again. This time after the scan it shows "EXTUS" (whatever that is) as current. Try selecting Bell again. No change. See screenshots below. Also tried turning it on and off between the change in settings. Didn't make a difference. Still disconnected. I'm pretty sure it isn't a problem with the SIM card, as it worked on the Huawei and I seem to be geting some basic connectivity (i.e. the SMS message and the ability to scan for networks). Has anyone else experienced the same issue? Not sure what else I'm supposed to do, short of returning the thing. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.SolvedWNDAP660 Internet Access Keeps Loosing Access
My WAP keeps loosing access to the internet and it does it quite often; 6 times an hour, all my wireless devices loose Interment access. They all have WIFI connectivity to the WAP and maintain their local IP but can't download even a simple page like google.com. All devices hard wired to the same firewall/switch do NOT have a problem connecting to the net. I have to turn off and on the device's wireless connection to regain access but that only works for a few minutes. To get longer lasting connectivity I have to power cycle the WNDAAP660. After a power cycle it will run for potentially a couple days before acting up. I've noticed other users have the same problem. I have the latest firmware 3.5.20. So at this point its worthless piece of garbage that I have to pay for support for. Does anyone have any ideas before I chuck it in the garbage and never buy another netgear product again?Solved11KViews0likes37CommentsBandwidth
Before I got the Orbi, I had the Luma. I've since returned the Luma, but something is bothering me. With the Luma when I ran speed test on fast.com, I would consistently get close to the bandwidth I pay for. With the Orbi I'm getting less on both wired and wireless. It's about half the speed. Any ideas why? If I run a speed test directly at the modem, I get the speeds I pay for. My setup is as follows: modem to Orbi. Desktop connected to Orbi.SolvedOrbi Router dropping Wired connection
Ran my Orbi router over 6 months with no problems. 3 days ago, I could not get any pcs (windows 10)/macs to connect to wired connection. All the wireless connections are rock solid. I tried rebooting pc, rebooting Orbi router, but non of the wired connections would connect. After hours of no connection, all of the wired connects suddenly connected and started to work for about 20 minutes, then back to unable to connect. The error on the pc is "Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration" or "Unidentified Network". But I spent about 8 hours monitoring the connects via the Orbi port and noticed not wired connections for 2 hours or so, followed with about 20 minutes of wired connections. The wireless connections are all working. I have the latest firmware, V1.9.1.12. I haven't change my configuration/devices since the prior months when Obri worked fine. I do see "UPnP set event: add_nat_rule," and "DoS Attack: ARP Attack]" in the log from the "wired" host ip address, but I don't know if that is relevant. I am totally frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.add new powerline adapter to existing powerline network
Greetings all. We have an existing powerline network of ethernet adapters. We have WiFi but it is not a powerline; it is built-in to the router we got from the ISP. We have a range extender that is not a powerline, and I would mind ditching it. The issue is simple. I am looking for a new powerline adapter that I can just plug into the wall and have it join the existing network, that also has WiFi connectivity. I bought one once, but it would only work with the adapter that came with it (it would work but only if we no longer used the existing devices). We could either keep the existing Ethernet devices or use the WiFi adapter, but not both (even with a switch between the cable modem and the 2 adapters, it would only work with one or the other, not both). We use the ethernet powerline adapters for several streaming devices throughout the house, so I don't want to have to do away with all those just to get a WiFi access point in the upstairs. Is there a WiFi access point that I can buy that will work with the existing powerline network? Or am I better off just getting more range extenders? Hi, I have a new DELL Inspiron (Windows 10) with a "Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 3165" which I am unable to connect to WNDR3400V3-N600 router. Other existing devices like Android, iOS and Printer are connected through the router and work fine. I get the message "Checking Network Requirements" and a while later get "Can't Connect to this network". The wired connection is working all right. I disabled access control and even tried security 'None' briefly. But, no success. The wireless connection also connected to another non-NetGear router earlier, suggesting that the problem is specific to NetGear environment. Adapter Driver - Intel latest version (18.20.0.9) Router S/w - Latest Version (V.1.0.1.2_1.0.51) I even fell back to earlier versions of the Intel adapter such as 18.12.0.3 & 17.15.0.5 but with no success. Any help is appreciated. TIA.Solved5.3KViews0likes5CommentsBrief magenta then long blue light on RBS50 satellite
Several times last night the RBS50 satellite would flash magenta briefly and then go to blue for a few minutes before shutting off the lights completely. I'm still getting a connection on the satellite but it's at a slower, inconsistent speed. Been on 2.0.0.74 for weeks and haven't moved the router or the satellite; no new devices added that might create RF interference. Performance when clients are wirelessly connected to the router are solid. I have recently connected our security system to the router via ethernet, but will have to see if disconnecting that has any impact. Suggestions? Reset the satellite?Nighthawk X6 R8000 dead? Please help
Everything was fine until this morning. Opened Genie to check network map and the Internet went down (don't know if it was coincidental). The Internet LED stays orange indicating no Internet. However, when I connect the Ethernet cable from my cable modem to my laptop I can browse without a problem, so this isn't an ISP issue. I'm on the newest firmware and I've tried everything possible. - Simple power boot - Hard reset to factory settings - Changed ethernet cable - Even tried the Kong dd-wrt opensource firmware - Then flashed the normal one again No matter what I try, the Internet LED stays orange. I'm at a loss. This is really frustrating - I purchased this on Oct 1st, and barely 6 months later the $300 router seems to be bricked. What is my recourse? Thank you,Solved4.1KViews0likes2CommentsNighthawk M1 loosing 4G connectivity and not getting it back
I'm having issues with my australian Nighthawk M1 while in France, with a french SIM card and a french LTE provider (Free). After a few hours, randomly, the 4G connexions is lost and it does not come back unless I either reboot the routeur, or simply change any of the cellular connectivity settings. I'm near Paris, near the antenna and getting nearly 100 Mbps down & 30 Mbps up. So the connectivity is excellent, I don't think it is an issue with the mobile operator as I have severall people around me using the same one with a different 4G modem and getting 100% stable connectivity. It is a real pain as I use this as my main Internet access and it makes the hardware frequently unusable.Comcast customers: will Firmware V3.01.14 fix my N450 (CG3000Dv2) connectivity issues?
For the past half a year, my N450 (CG3000Dv2) cabel modem router has been completely unreliable. It regularly drops connection. Sometimes restarting helps, sometimes it doesn't. I've rebooted the box a couple times, and that helps for maybe a day, sometimes less. This connectivity issue seems to be a common complaint for N450, and also seems to be tied to the V3.01.06 firmware (makes sense to me, based on when my problems started). I see that V3.01.14 has been pushed by Comcast to its customers. Any Comcast N450 customers on here who had connectivity issues with V3.01.06? And if so, did those problems go away with V3.01.14? I have Spectrum, which is still using V3.01.06. It's really frustrating to be experiencing this problem, especially since I had suffered through the same issue over a year ago. That time, the probably spontaneously resolved, presumably when the Firmware was updated. I think it happened around the same time as the Time Warner Cable merger with Charter, and this time the problem seems to correspond with the mergers with Spectrum.3.9KViews0likes8Comments
