Change Genie Login Architecture on desktop version
NETGEARGenie logs in automatically. However, if parental controls are set up and being used on a home network or the computer, the controls are essentially open for anyone to shut off, because the application automatically logs in. I recommend adding architecture for loggin in to Genie on the desktop computer version or else adding a means to require a username and password before changes to the Parental Controls can be made. Unfortunately, the only alternative is to only maintain the moile app for controling the parental controls and then each time we need to utilize the Genie controls or functionality in the desktop version we must reinstall the program, make the changes or troubleshoot the issue and then delete it again. Obviously this is not ideal nor user friendly. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Can't connect to cable modem/router; Can't access router login
so... i've been searching around and trying ideas for three hours now. nothing. after a reset, my laptop can connect to the router AND use the internet via WiFi. i was able to use the "routerlogin.net" app once or twice to change my settings back to the way they were, yet no other device would connect and it would tell me the "modem is offline". consistantly, less said times, the router will reset, my laptop will connect with default router settings, my laptop will get internet, and i will get the message that i am not connected via WiFi when attempting to access "routerlogin.net". what the heck is going on here?can't login to my router!
Hi all, i have been unable to login to my router since a couple weeks after i got it, which was 6 months ago! So i cannot change any settings or anything! (eg. disable my bonjour, change security settings...etc) back then, i changed my password, and maybe i accidentally mistyped a key(???), but i cannot figure out what they are demanding that i must type as password to login! should i return it for a new router, or what? I just got this wifi extender and I want to make the network secure but everytime i try and login to the router page (192.168.0.100) the prompt to enter the username and password will keep poping up after I have entered the username (admin) and password (password). I have reseting the extender but the same thing happens everytime. And i do have my computer hooked up via ethernet cable directly to the device.
