Hello, looking for some advice. I recently upgraded to the AT&T fiber 1G plan, I had Spectrum broadband 1G plan prior to changing, and was consistently getting 700 - 800 speed, while using the Orbi RBK763S-100NAS as the router along with 2 satellites. I switched over to ATT with the BGW620-700 gateway, I was immediately getting 1200 / 1200to the home, 875 / 600 to my phone using the ATT BGW. I then set up the Orbi, set it to passthrough, wifi off, tried both with and without AP mode, and dropped with all options where Orbi was involved to 450 - 600 / 500 - 700. I ended up going back to the ATT BGW only and am getting 1200 / 1200 to BGW and 800 - 900 / 900 - 100 to phone. So I am sticking with the BGW, but I was wondering if you would recommend getting a higher model Orbi, if I find I need to extend my zone to reach back yard, garage, etc better? p.s. I am not super tech savy so learning as I goOrbi RBR350 + 2 satellites internet speed question
Hi! I use a RBR350 Orbi connected to 2 RBS350 satellites in my house with 2 floors. There is a big concrete wall in the middle of the house. So basically, the router and the RBR350 are downstairs, on one side of the wall. Internet speed is around 500Mb/s there. Me and my partner are working on the 2nd floor, on two separate rooms. The best configuration I found is the following: First satellite is on my desk, on the same side of the wall as the router and Orbi, but 2 floors above. I get around 180 Mb/s with my Macbook Pro M1 Max with an ethernet cable. A little less in WiFi. Second satellite is on my partner's desk, on the same floor but on the other side of the wall, so I use the first satellite as a bridge to the second one. On her cheaper Asus laptop, she gets around 90 Mbs/s with ethernet. My question is: will I be able to gain some speed at the second floor with another Orbi system? I can't have ethernet cables directly from the router ATM. Thanks in advance. Cheers! MaxTrouble connecting Orbi Satellite.
I have an Orbi RBR850 and I want to connect a satellite (RBS350) to is but it is not working. I go through the process and the LED turns solid blue for a while then after a few minutes starts blinking white again. The RBS350 is registered as a connected device on the RBR850, but it stays disconnected no matter what I do. Suggestions?SolvedThe router config page shows "ERROR Not Connected" in the "Internet"
I'm having the same problem with my RBR350 and RBS350 combo. The router config page shows "ERROR Not Connected" in the "Internet" box but everything is connecting to internet with absolutely no problem at all. Even the router itself can sync time and check for firmware update from the internet. Mine is also in AP mode with DHCP service off. I think this is a very mindless and easy to spot bug that they never bothered to fix since it probably only shows up in the router config page. The "Internet" section in the settings is greyed out when the router is in AP mode, so the firmware is probably blocking itself from starting the process to check for internet connection.2.4 ghz connection issues
I have Xfinity internet with a NETGEAR Nighthawk CM3000 modem and a NETGEAR Orbi AX3000 router(RBK653). The internet is great we receive 6 ghz connection on wifi throughout the house; but, I recently purchased the Kohler Moxie wifi showerhead and speaker and have been unable to connect it to my home internet. Speaking with Kohler it appears the system requires a 2.4 ghz connection. I utilized the Orbi app to to change my Iot connection to solely a 2.4 ghz connection and not the 2.4 and 5 ghz but the speaker still can't connect to the home wifi. When I connect my phone to the Iot connection it still shows I have a 6 ghz connection to the system. Any suggestions?Sonos and Chromecast wGTV connecting to 2.4g
Hi, I've read reams of similar problems but no solutions seem to work / fit. I have an Orbi RBR350 V4.20.0.4_3.100.71. Currently 3 laptops, 3 phones, a cat feeder, a Sonos One Gen 2 and a Chromecast with Google TV connected. The Chromecast and the Sonos both insist on connecting to 2.4GHz, phones and laptops are on 5GHz. This means I can't cast from phone or laptop to these media pllaers as the phone etc can't "see" them. I have turned 2.4GHz down to 25%, doesn't appear to be an option to turn it off, and ideally I would prefer not to as the cat feeder is 2.4 only. The Ccwgtv is less than 1 metre from the Orbi, the Sonos is across the room, approx 4m in line of sight. Any ideas how to force these two devices onto 5GHz/. ThanksShare your Orbi 350, 750, 850 or 960 series system UpTime
Found on the routers and RBS IP address/debug.htm web page for best details, please post both RBR and RBS uptime. Please note of any inconsistencies between the RBR and RBS. Generally the RBR and RBS uptime should be same. Home wide power brown outs should be noted if these are seen. Thank you.Where is the new v.7 firmware for RBS350
I have an RBR750 with 2 RBS350, I see the lastest firmware for the RBR is 7.2.7.15. It took me some time but the last time I upgraded my router to 7.2.6.31, I was able to find the RBS350 firmware of the same version. Now that this new release is out the netgear website only shows firmware version 4x for the RBS350, yet your compatibility matrix says the RBS is compatible with the RBR750. If I recall best practice is to have the router and satellites on the same version. So where is the new version firmware for the RBS350?SolvedCan't Login with Admin Credentials
Can somebody please help me? I'm trying to set up my Orbi RBR350 and I've followed all the prompts in the app until I've arrived at the screen asking me to Login with my admin credentials. It asks me to input a password and has the message "Default is password" so I enter "password" into the section but it says its incorrect. When I try to reset my password, according to the instructions, it leads me to a help page which then sends me to a bunch of links that do not assist me in resetting my password. It says to access either www.orbilogin.com or http://www.orbilogin.net but both of these links just send me to pages prompting me to download the app, pointless for this situation. I feel like I'm going round and round in circles. Of course netgear can't help me so I'm left to post a message on this community. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have tried enterring my Network password, and my Netgear Account password but neither worked.Solved
