I have a running support case with the latest v15 firmware not reliably working for some Ethernet connected devices to the RBR860 router. These devices include an LG TV and MacBook Pro. They work fine on WiFi or on Ethernet on a satellite but not the RBR860. LG is unable to stream on any services like Netflix and Speedtest on MacBook is awful and won't even support a remote support session from NETGEAR. Reverting to the previous firmware and it's fine! It's an odd one but very reproducible and NETGEAR has acknowledged the issue specific to my environment. I'm not sure if others on the RBR860 have issue with Ethernet connected MacBook and LG TV.Can I change the wifi channels on the Orbi Mesh/RBK862SB?
Hey, I'm considering changing the router. The current model is a 2-pack Deco X60/AX5400. While it works most of the time but the smart devices keep disconnecting and connecting. This Christmas, I'll add more smart cameras/sensors. I'm afraid it's going to be a nightmare for X60. so I have to think early. From what I have experienced with Deco, smart devices work well when the 2.4Ghz stays on channel 11/20mhz, but it keeps changing its mind:-(. Does RBK862SB allow me to manually change the wifi channels, especially for the 2.4ghz band? Thanks.Solved2.4 ghz connection issues
I have Xfinity internet with a NETGEAR Nighthawk CM3000 modem and a NETGEAR Orbi AX3000 router(RBK653). The internet is great we receive 6 ghz connection on wifi throughout the house; but, I recently purchased the Kohler Moxie wifi showerhead and speaker and have been unable to connect it to my home internet. Speaking with Kohler it appears the system requires a 2.4 ghz connection. I utilized the Orbi app to to change my Iot connection to solely a 2.4 ghz connection and not the 2.4 and 5 ghz but the speaker still can't connect to the home wifi. When I connect my phone to the Iot connection it still shows I have a 6 ghz connection to the system. Any suggestions?RBK863S IPv4 assignment
My Orbi RBK863S was first installed as a router, but later changed to an Access Point to reduce conflict with my AT&T gateway/router. However, my PC is still getting assigned 10.x.x.x IPv4 addresses and I have no internet access. Even if I did get internet access, being on a local area network other than 192.168. 1.x causes a problem with apps and file sharing. I have tried so many things it would be too daunting to explain. Any suggestions would be appreciated.SolvedUsed Orbi 860 Connection
My friend gave me his Orbi 860 system since his internet company gave him one to work with. I tried to factory re-set the router and it keeps showing up with their old network name., How do I set this up for use in my home? Do I need to get his password and go into the app or is there a better way?Advice before purchase
I'm living in a timber farmhouse in a remote area that has no cell reception. I have a dual 4G dual antenna on the roof that points to a cell tower 5 miles away over the hills and is connected to a 4G modem (GL-X750 Spitz v2 CAT 60). The modem is robust and the speed of 15Mbs max is adequate for cell phone calls, internet browsing and streaming, but obviously not blazing. What I want to do is push the signal down to the garage, 16m (52ft) from the modem and out into the house paddock to 20m minimum (66ft). There are 2 timber walls between modem and garage and glass on the sides pointing to the paddock. I was looking at the RBK 852 and the RBK 625 2-packs for their range, not their speed, though I don't want to spend more than I need to. I gather I'd plug the Orbi base 'modem' into the ethernet port of the 4G modem then the single satellite would work off the signal from the Orbi modem, and they both push out a wifi signal I assume the 4G modem would work with an Orbi? My question is, what is the realist range of the signal from these devices, mine would be straight line through glass, so I can get cell over wi-fi reception outside of the house to a reasonable distance. I'm assuming the ones published are theoretical so I'm looking for real world ranges.
