Hi Dreko

 

Unfortunately the JGS516PE doesn't support SNMP, if you are looking for an SNMP switch with PoE I would recommend our Smart or Managed switches.

 

In 16-port PoE we already have two models that supports SNMP and POE:

bit late now, I already bought the JGS516PE 

 

So that is a "unmanaged switch" ?

 

Is the only way to monitor the tempreture is to log into the device itself?

    Drekko,

     

    I'm afraid to inform you that there is no option to monitor the temperature neither through the web-GUI of the JGS516PE nor using the ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility.  Also, there is no option to have a console connection to the JGS516PE switch.

      You may want to post your concern as feature request on the Idea Exhcange for Business board here.  In this way, the development team can see what feature does users like you wanted to be added to the functionality of the JGS516PE.

        Will do but in saying that is it possible to add snmp support in a firmware update? If not id just have to buy the GS series which I do not want to do that
