bit late now, I already bought the JGS516PE 

 

So that is a "unmanaged switch" ?

 

Is the only way to monitor the tempreture is to log into the device itself?

Drekko,

 

I'm afraid to inform you that there is no option to monitor the temperature neither through the web-GUI of the JGS516PE nor using the ProSAFE Plus Configuration Utility.  Also, there is no option to have a console connection to the JGS516PE switch.
