SXR50 & SXS50 sync issues since firmware V4.3.1.106

Good day,

Setup -

Router + 3 Satellites

Wired Connections to all satellites using CAT6 100% Copper Cables.

4 VLANS in use.

ISSUE: The system is working, wifi and network is stable for the most part. The satellites show up in the router interface as wired, but on boot of the satellites, they do not light blue for successful sync to the router anymore. Further, when logged directly into the satellite, they put out a message, "The Orbi satellite can't connect to the Orbi router." (Picture Attached). I am able to see the satellites through the routers interface, and even control Vlans on the ports but this issue is driving me crazy.

I have contacted netgear through insight and spoke to support there, here are some of the things i have done so far:
1. Took down the satellites and brought them next to the main router for wireless connection, issue persists.

2. Used a short, tested cable, wired them next to each other, issue persists.

3. reset all satellites to factory settings, removed them from the router interface, then resynced them again using a wired connection. This worked, i put the satellites back in place and plugged them in, again they continued to work well however two days later i checked, and the same message is back.

I have no idea what is going on and it's getting very frustrating.

      Sure.

      1. I generally use insight but have also logged in through the routers page for troubleshooting and setting up VLAN's and ports.

      2. It would have been Firmware Version 4.3.0.140 which was the firmware immediately before the current installed firmware.

      3. Ignore the arrow heads, just doing a quick diagram for you to see.

        vsharma1410 ,

Thank you for the information .

Can we get the debug logs when issue occurs, need logs from Router and from Satellites .

        Steps to get debug logs

Ip address of router/satellite/debug.htm (use local admin/password)

        Click on start capture option

Then try to reproduce the issue

Then click on Save debug logs

Please do it on Router and Satellites  and share the logs.

        Thanks,

        Basavaraj

I fixed it, unfortunatly I don't know how exactly.

What I did was resetting the SXR50 and just started the configuration all over again. The SXS50's connected automatically and now I can see them in Netgear Insight.

The only issue I now have is my DHCP reservations, is there someway to import them from a backup or generally import them from any type; csv or whatever?

      Thanks!

Sure let me check configuration backup with DHCP reservations , Will come back to you.

        Thanks,

        Basavaraj
