XR500 drops internet
I am having an issue where the internet stops working..... I have 2 Xbox ones being used and they randomly disconnect and now the wifi doesn't work either. The wifi is connected but no internet. One xbox is hard wired. I have to reboot the router multiple times to get everything back online. I am using the cm1000 modem and also the x4s mesh extender on my network.

I'm also losing internet randomly , have to restart atleast once a day .

- Can I get the firmware update. My router is suddenly as of today dropping connection to all devices PC. Ps4. Fire tv and android and apple phones and nest equipment. Removed router from network and tested with equipment wired to cm1000 only . No issues. Will return router to best buy tomorrow if connectivity cant be resolved
Hi NMercer - I will private message you the firmware link now. However, it sounds like you either have a general hardware fault or there is an issue with your line.
When the drop out occurs, is your modem still up and running?

yep mine now dropping connection on latest firmwareSo, I have factory reset the XR500 many times both before and after uploading the latest firmware as well as using the firmware PM'd to me and I'm still sitting here watching the router just reboot at random. I don't think that the PS4's or Xbox's are causing the router to reboot. I don't understand why you guys are blaming the PS4's and xbox's when all devices connected to the router via wifi or wired seem to lose connection at the same time. I literally unplugged my PS4's from the outlets as well as only allowing 1 - 2 devices connected to it and the thing still reboots at random. Could I just upload a netgear stock firmware to it or use dd-rt instead until this is fixed? This is getting ridiculous for spending 300+ on it for basically a netgear R7800 but plus 70 for the firmware.

Hi, I'm also experiencing issues with the XR500 disconnecting all devices. This often takes several reboots to get them working again and often the PS4 won't connect at all.

- I'm having the same issue... If you could please send me that firmware I'd like to try it also. I'm having disconnects once a day. I logged in via the Nighthawk app on iPhone and it said the internet was offline, I rebooted the router and it went back online. I have 3 Xbox One consoles and one X console, all wireless.
- How many people are having Disconnect issues and also have an Xbox One X running? From everything I've been reading this issue is affecting Xbox One X owners more than anything.

Good evening, can I also get this firmware? Random WIFI issues constantly. Driving me mad. Didn't have this problem when I first got the router but maybe since last release?
Are there isses with wireless devices in close proximity? My nintendo switch, 2 xbox One X's and Alexa all sit on the same "shelf". (xbox one's are hard wired).
I just bought this router 2 days ago. When I woke up this morning I noticed my computer was disconnected. I checked my other computer which is a plex server and noticed that it was not connected as well. I checked all my devices that were wifi connected and they all had internet. I rebooted the router and my wired connections came back.
I have 3 wired connections. 2 computers and... wait for it... 1 xbox one.
I have mixed wifi items, such as iphone, ipad, windows 10 laptop, samsung phone, multimedia transceiver.. etc.
I read through these forums this morning and see that this is a big problem. I am going to turn off my xbox1 after I post this.
Last night I was watching a movie from a friends plex server using a Fire TV (wifi), and it dropped that connection 3 times during the movie. I did not have that issue with my Linksys EA6400. This is the first time I watched a movie since I installed the new router, so I can't say for sure if this is going to be a major problem for me.
