ORBI application issue

First ORBI system was active on the ORBI application, was able to view all details.  We purchased a second system for a Delaware location; application dropped our first, although picked up our second.  We are unable to view details for our first location.  Systems are on different routers, one verizon one xfinity.   Looking for a solution or how to add back our first location.

What I believe is supposed to happen is this:

    • The user has one Orbi system defined in the Orbi app.
    • The user gets another Orbi system and uses the existing Orbi app to configure it by selecting this menu item:

When the new system is configured, it appears at the top of the menu page under the first system.  When the user opens the Orbi app, either system can be selected from the menu at the top of the page.  As far as I am aware, there is no practical limit to the number of Orbi systems that can be managed using one Orbi app.

(This is why I asked if the same Orbi app on the same smartphone was used to set up the second Orbi system as was used to set up the first system.)

Since the app that is currently being used appears to have only one Orbi system, that is all it knows about.

  • Application -2.51.0.5242

    RBE 371

    V- 12.1.3.11

Given my issue with the application only showing one system, how would I be able to view details of my other system.   Thanks

So you have two 370 series systems?

Yes, RBE370 for New Jersey, RBE370 for Delaware currently only the Delaware location is visible on the ORBI application.  My concern is not being able to check on the New Jersey system while also having  the ability to view Delaware.

        Thanks

What mobile platform are you using for Orbi app?

What version of Orbi app are you using?

What model# Orbi systems do you have?

What FW version is loaded on the Orbi systems?

If your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

    https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT

    Couple of options,

    1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.

    2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.

    3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router.

    Try option #2 first...

  • ORBI application did display first system with all details, when second system set up first location system was dropped.  ORBI application does not indicate/show a second location.  I am unable to determine any issues without access to the second file.  I did call Netgear to verify a second system would not impact my original.  Technician advised all would be OK, NOT SO since I am missing my original set up

  • The same device (smartphone, tablet) running the Orbi  app was used to set up the new the new system?

From all I have read, one app can control any number of separate Orbi systems (although it is not always obvious which system is which on the list).
