RAX120 V2 Constant Random Reboots
The router reboots frequently sometimes every 30 minutes. I have noticed that the router reboots under heavy system load of +50% on the processor. The only way I have been able to drastically lessen the issue is by turning off 2.4 Ghz WMM services. Unfortunately my 2.4 Ghz devices pay the price for that with slower throughput. I can't even view some security camera streams any longer because the bandwidth is so poor.
I first purchased this router about a month ago and have already had the unit replaced by NG once but unfortunately the replacement does the same thing. I am within the time period to return the router. I'm hesitant to purchase the RAX200 because of the same issue. I may have to try another brand after 10 years of using NG. It doesn't look like Netgear has a solution for this either- I've spent plenty of time troubleshooting with the Level 2 support folks (they spent a lot of insinuating that the power outlet was the culprit, even after trying the router on several outlets and APC backups)).
- Installed beta firmware 1.2.3.33 on it and then turn fan on in debug.htm. Just check mark it , don’t click on apply.
And bought a cool pad from amazon $10 . 4 days in a row no restart and router works perfect.

After using the beta firmware for about the last week, I can say that it does remedy the random reboots and wifi drops. Very pleased with the RAX120v2 since upgrading to the beta firmware. I keep mine in AP mode, and it works a treat!!!! I didn't experience any issues during the upgrade. The router rebooted normally after installing the beta firmware. I did a factory reset, as one should, and setup everything again. It has been working great for the last 6 days.
The only minor issue I have experienced since the beta upgrade, is I have notice that my Roku Ultra does buffer far more than normal. Compared to the R9000, the Roku buffers more on the RAX120. I rarely experienced buffering on the R9000.
Really looking forward to the stable release, hopefully soon, of the beta firmware.
Thanks again to FURRYe38 for supplying the beta firmware.
Just FYI, I'm using the supplied power adapter. I don't think, at least in my case, the power adapter was causing my issues. Firmware fixed it for me.

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

I without fail, hit several reboots every time I run NordVPN on my PC and pull 2-3MBps over the 5GHz for 30-60 minutes.
- I have 13 devices connected to the router. About half are IP cams. Rest are phones, computers, random IoT things.
- I bought it new on Amazon about 2 months ago.
When it reboots, all LEDs turn off except the power LED and then slowly LEDs start lighting up and router is back up after 30+ seconds.

Been having reboot issues since the beginning of the year. Tried the other methods and haven't had much success. Would appreciate a link to the beta firmware that seems to be fixing the issue. Serial starts with 6JY.
Thanks in advance

Connected to Verizon FIOS - Nokia G-211M-C
I have the same serial! Might be a bad batch?

Asked a few times for access to the beta firmware but no one is replying to me, yet others seem to be getting replies. If I'm doing something wrong please point it out to me.
My serial starts with 6K0
I use a China Unicom VN007+ modem in IP Pass through mode
My ISP is EE.
My wife and I both work from home and are struggling with the unpredictable nature of the router. Am thinking of just getting rid and buying an Asus.

Private messager is enabled already under preferences. Is there a separate setting somewhere?

Same problem. My Nighthawk AX12 AX6000 is rebooting every 30-60 minutes when we're actively using the internet. However, when we're heavily using it, the CPU still only gets to 5% load.

It's been happening for about a week.
Can I request the beta firmware as well?...

I don't think they are giving it out anymore. I believe they got the information they needed and now they are going to push it into an official update.

So was curious since you were given the beta...did this not work for you? Instructions were given to you on how to apply and setup the router for checking this. I've had many users tell me that this FW fixes the reboot issue. Sounds like you haven't tried the beta given or followed the instructions.

May I have the beta FW? My serial starts with 6K0. Encounter the same constantly rebooting issue.
Can I get the beta aswell I have the RAX120v2 and I keep getting my wifi devices dropped but my lan connections stay good.
Over a year later and they haven't solved this issue. Way to go Netgear!

Is this with the recent beta?

Why do we have to jump through hoops with a year old problem, put it into production, even if it's a checkbox.

Was the beta FW file for the reboot issue. Oh well.
Glad it works for others.
Good Luck.
