Can't access R7500 router by any browser
Hi,
running unter W10, browser does not get access to router
- firefox (Page error)
- IE10 - will show "Entry Page" - after entering name and password, next page ist blank - i am connected (gets an similar message, logging on by another W7-Laptop), but does not see anything
- chrome - sometimes undefined page with some information, but not the normal screen (page setup wrong) - however i can quit the session.
Router already restarted more than once as well the PC - no success.
Netgear Genie does work, however it will not show all the contents like on a web browser, so I need that access.
Who could help me, please (German preferred, Englisch so lala)

I have to add that I too am unable to get into my router from ANY Win 10 PC (I have 3). I can access the router just fine on Win7 AND my Mac OS which is running the latest El Capitan version. If I try to use Chome or IE, I get the page cannot be displayed or similar. I've called Netgear support and they can't figure it out. I've tried using www.routerlogin.net, 10.x.x.x and 192.x.x.x IPs w/no luck. Why is this so hard to get working? Is it an issue with Win10 which is all up to date? Please help us here! Thanks.

What is the firmware version of the router? Have you performed a factory reset?

******UPDATE********
Both IE and Chrome now present a login to the router. What suddenly changed??? The same thing happened on my last 7500 router (had to replace that one) and now again access is finally granted. Can a Netgear rep tell me why this may be happening? Thanks. I made NO known changes to my system running Win10.

There was no update for R7500 but I guess your Windows 10 might have some updates which made it work. Good to know that it works now.

Time for another update - on my Win 10 laptop, I can still access the router, but NOT on my Win10 desktop. Both are on Windows 10 Build 10240. Why is this such an issue to keep working?

Do you have the same Antivirus on both PCs?
Is it Kaspersky? If yes, please try to uninstall it and access routers page. If successful then reinstall the Kaspersky.

- Hallo, leider hat es nichts mit Kaspersky zu tun . Ich bin gerade mit einem Windows 8 pc wenigstens in das netgear Genie App gekommen und konnte das Passwort ändern und die ......28 Firmware aufspielen . Auch der pc kam nicht über den Browser in den Router . Das ist nicht ok . Es scheint das Windows 10 mit der Firmware nicht kompatibel ist . Das ist für ein Router in dieser Preisklasse ein no go . Der netgear Support tut als wenn sie davon nichts wüssten . Ist ja auch klar da alle Geräte ja praktisch zurück gerufen werden müssten da ja ein Windows 10 pc noch nicht mal eine verbesserte Firmware aufspielen kann .
Oder gibt es hier jemanden der den Router mit Windows 10 verbinden kann über den Browser ?so nun habe ich wie empfohlen Kaspersky deinstalliert. Und siehe da ich komme ins Menü . So nun habe ich keine pc Schutz mehr ,was nun .Kennt jemand die einstellungen für Kasperksy? Desweiteren wie ist die bezeichnung der letzten firmware ?V1.0.0.28 ? In germany gibt es wohl diese Firmware Version V1.0.0.94 .Was ist nun die richtige ? Gruss

Könnt ihr mir was zu der Firmware sagen ? In Germany ist es eine ganz andere Endung ....92 hier in den USA sind wir bei .... 28 was ich nicht wirklich verstehe . Automatisches Update bringt mir hier nur die ....28
