Any Sparc-based respect in here?
I have an ReadyNas 600 still chugging along nicely. However, I am in need of some options for a hard drive upgrade. Looking for a couple of 2GB (or higher if supported) drives. Can anyone recommend any, as the list does not contain an entry for my ReadyNas.
Thank you.
Thank you.

The NV+ (v1) is Sparc.
Perhaps get the Hitachi. - cmajewskAspirant

Thank you for the quick reply. Which Hitachi do you recommend? Also, Hitachi over Seagate or WD? I have never used them.

Depends what you're after. Get the DeskStar if you want a desktop drive or the UltraStar if you want an Enterprise drive.cmajewsk wrote:

Yes. - PapaBear1ApprenticeAs a long time Seagate user, when I upgraded two of my 1TB drives in each of my NVX units last June I went with Hitachi and have been very pleased. However, these are 3TB drives so will not work in your 600. The Samsung HD204UI drive is also on the list and seems to have a good reputation. I have one of the older HD203WI drives, but not in ReadyNAS use. It is a data drive in my PC and has performed well.
Note: Samsung has been purchased by Seagate and Hitachi has been purchased by WD. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThere are 2TB Hitachis on the list
