Admin page issue after upgrade

I have 2 and 4 bay NAS drives.  I upgraded from 6.9.2 arm to 6.9.3 arm.  Upgrade proceeded normally.  After reboot the splash screen indicated 6.9.3 and then "Connection to ReadyNAD Admin Page".  The indicator completes, back to the splash screen and repeats the "Connection to..." page.  This will continue repeatedly with no end.  The drive can be accessed and perform normally, but you can not get to the Admin page as it keeps resetting the page.  ALL of my drives that were upgraded re doing the same thing.  I have rebooted and powered down, cleared browser cache, use Firefox and tried IE as well.  All with the same result.

Anyone have any ideas to clear this Admin page issue ?

Paul

Could you please clear the browser's cache and cookies and launch the admin UI again?

      Hey Deniro,

I too have this admin refresh issue.

I'm pulling the logs now and uploading them if I could kindly ask for someone to take a look and help fix this with me.

      Cheers,

      Seb

thebassy hae you tried clearing your web browser cache, closing your web browser and reopening the web admin interface?

Thanks for sending the logs. As you're having problems with this on multiple units can you send the logs from all of the units displaying these symptoms on 6.9.3 not just one. The problem you're facing may/may not be the same on all units. If it is the same having logs from different units may still help with identifying the root cause.

      Problem solved.

(Moderator) Bryan followed up with me.  Using device logs and then remoting in he was able to solve the problem.

Great support from Netgear on the issue.

        Hi,

I have the same issue. What was the solution?

        Thanks

  • I have the same problem. After rebooting the volume is inactive and so all shares are not reachable anymore.

I tried disk-check via boot-menu and afterwards I could at least reach the admin-page again. But it shows now that volume is inactive and volume-usage is at 100%. What can I do?

Jürgen do you have a backup?

You can send your logs in if you like (see the Sending Logs link in my sig).

I have a backup on my old RN2100, but because that one has smaller HDUs, not of all shares. I have a backup of only the most important data.

As I do backups of my MacOS-clients also on USB-HDUs I could live with loosing the share "Backup" on my 2120, bu therefore recover the rest, if possible in any way.

  • I am having the same issue after upgrading to 6.9.3

    - Admin page does not load

    - Cant download logs from RAIDar

    - FWbroker says i dont have permissions to access...

    Really dissapointing for a NAS.

Can you connect your NAS to the internet it, reboot it and wait about 10 minutes?

        Hi! Thanks for your answer.

Finally i downgraded the version to 6.9.1 and i factory reseted it. Access looks ok now, however this happens when I join the AD domain (pretty huge one):

        - SMB shares become unaccesible, cant even \\xx.xx.xx.xx the NAS. Can ping it and admin it though.

        - Overall performance drops, got kicked out from the admin page constantly.

        Any idea?

I'm having the same problem on a Readynas 102.
Upgraded to 6.9.3 and now I'm having a reloading admin page.

I've send in the logs by mail. I could really use some help on this! :)
  • I have exactly the same problem. How do i send you my logs?

I hope you can help me out. This is unworkable at the moment.

    Best regards,

PDAHazzard you did an unsupported upgrade direct from 6.2.2 to 6.9.3.

You set a static I.P. address but didn't specify DNS Server Addresses.

You could try an OS Re-install or as you've got SSH enabled you could try:

      # cd /apps/.freeapps
      # rm -r wordpress/

If you still can't access the web admin page after that you could also try clearing your web browser cache, closing your web browser and then reopening the web admin page

  • In 6.9.3 (readynas 3138) it intermittently works but after upgrading to 6.9.4 the admin portal no longer loads. Can somebody assist or provide a solution? I am still able to access the files by windows explorer; just no longer can access the admin portal page.

While Googling "readynas 104 admin page randomly failing", it would appear that I am not alone.  :(

Should I take a gamble and load the 6.10.x beta FW or have someone officiall take a look at the logs?

      Thanks

In case it helps anyone else, the problem I had was due to the a previoius login that had persisted.  Once I forced a logout, it was back to normal.
