Readynas Pro RNDP6350 won't boot

Hello,
Powered this unit down before our big windstorm here in the Northwest, went to boot it up 2 days later and nothing.
I can see a little bit of flickering from the lan port LEDs (no network cable plugged in) but nothing else. I tried pulling out all drives and then trying...but nothing. Unplugged power for an hour and tried again and nothing.
I have 10 tb of music and video on the drives and am really worried. What should I do? What are my options? - Can the drives be put in an identical unit and have the data saved? Try changing the power supply? BTW - I have never taken a backup up of the unit.
could use some help.
Thanks in advance.
Patrick

When did you purchase this NAS?

There are some threads on replacing the PSU. An extender cable would be needed.

I wouldn't suggest purchasing a Pro/Pro 6 at this stage. Those units are discontinued.

    Purchase e.g. a 316 (dual-core Atom CPU 2GB RAM) or a 516 (dual-core Ivy Bridge 4GB RAM).

We do have a procedure that can be used to recover the data from a Pro (assuming the disks and array are fine) using our new models. You would need somewhere to backup your data to. In future I would suggest hat you backup your data regularly.

..but if I did find Pro 6, cheap, just to recover the data , would it be as simple as pluging in the drives.
regarding the Power supply - are they pretty standard?

You should put a spare disk (must not be from your array) in the Pro 6 and make sure the firmware is at least as up to date as that on the Pro, then power down, remove the spare disk and migrate your disks across.

Here is a suggested replacement PSU: https://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=424298#p424298

Assuming the problem is just the PSU replacing it should solve the problem, but if the problem is more than that...

When you say "remove the spare disk and migrate your disks across." what do you mean by migrate. Put them all in and boot up?
Also - what happens If I am off on the firmware version?

It shouldn't matter if the firmware is newer on the replacement unit, but it may matter if it is older. You can't downgrade to 4.2.15 after updating to newer firmware.

If in doubt, put the latest firmware on the replacement unit.

Ok- good stuff - one more thing. I forgot to mention, I had had replaced the cmos battery as part of the diagnosis. Does this impact anything?

Provided you used the same type of battery and installed it correctly that shouldn't be a problem. The battery is primarily used for storing the time when the NAS is off.

Ok - ordered the replacement power supply and extension cable with the link you provided.
Are there any good instructions/pic on how to remove the existing supply?
