Hi,

I purchased a Nighthawk D7000 AC1900 a few weeks ago in order to replace by BT Home Hub 5 which I use with BT Infinity 1. A few days ago I decided to attempt to reserve a number of IP addresses as I need this in order for Port Forwarding to work correctly however no matter how many times I tried it woudnt work. I am not sure if this was affected by the new firmware or not.

Is this something anyone else has experienced?

Well I ended up reverting back to the 1.0.0.32 firmware and guess what it works perfectly.

Nope everything working fine on latest firmware.

I would suggest not using Internet Explorer when changing your settings as for some reason this never works well with Netgear GUIs

thank you for the prompt reply clithes. I was using Firefox when I attempted to set the reserved ip addresses but I will give it another go.

I will also take a look at the link you posted.

I have tried and tried but it just wont work properly. I even re-installed the latest firmware. I have managed to allocate one device a reserve ip address but anything else and it wont work for me. I am doing all this on a firefox browser.

Any ideas?

I have the same issue. I set up address reservations under 10.0.0.32, and they continued to work under 10.0.0.34. However, I reset to factory settings to attempt to fix a different issue, and was unable to get IP reservations to work.

So if you update back to 10.0.0.34 your current settings will stick. Probably not worth it though. 🙂

I'm having the same issue after upgrading to 1.0.0.34

I had numerous reservations for all my devices and it's been running fine on 1.0.0.32, updated to 1.0.0.34 and now all my devices have started getting DHCP leased IPs.

I opened a ticket with Netgear and made them aware of this issue. I also pointed them in the direction of this thread. Might be worth you guys doing the same.

Exactly the same problem.

I am downgrading however I really wanted the fix for the downstream interrupted when upload is maxed out.

Hopefully they can release a .36 version soon with the issue resolved.

Netgear have acknowledged a problem with the 1.0.0.34 FW and have removed it from their servers. They are working on a fix I am told.

Good, cause I logged a ticket with Netgear and it was just immediately closed. Twice. No response apart from you are outside your 90day support window.

Pretty poor from one of their top of the line products. I can definitely say that we will not be using the D7000 for any clients....and I recommend steer clear of it, this model has been nothing but trouble.

Just installed it over .34 and after the reboot i am still getting DHCP leased IPs for the devices i have reserved IPs for.

Hi,

I also just purchase a new nighthawk D7000 3 days ago to replace a Billion 7800VDOX that was failing, upgarded the firmware to .38 and I cannot get DHCP reservations to work. It's been driving me crazy. Thanks for the firmware tips. I'll downgrade to .32 of the firmware and advise.

Unbelievable that after 2 firmware version, the dhcp reservations still do not work

I went back to .32
