Network Printers Printing During Security Scan

I'm using firmware version 2.5.1.8 and the problem has gone away. The firmware update is available on the Netgear website at https://kb.netgear.com/000061530/RBR50-RBS50-Firmware-Version-2-5-1-8      

I don't think this is a "hotfix" but this version seems to have corrected the problem of those pesky 3 pages that print from network-attached printers. Mine haven't printed those pages since I applied this firmware. You might want to give it a try.

I am having the same issue with intermittent printing when Armor scans. Firmware of RBR50 is 2.3.5.30. Please help. I hate the waste of paper and ink. Thanks.

@nolapawn please update your firmware to the latest version. Do not pay Netgear to do the firmware update! You can do it yourself. If you are tech challenged, as I am, you will have to read their instructions but you can do it. 😉

Thanks, this completely fixed the printing problem! I don't know why they are recommending some beta version when just updating to the latest official firmware version fixes it. I'm not sure why my router didn't upgrade to this automatically.

So my firmware is 2.3.5.26...why doesn't the router automatically upgrade to 2.3.5.36 automatically?   I thought it was supposed to auto update on it's own.

@davidbel - May you provide us with the current firmware version your Orbi unit is on. 

@DLindman - Firmware v2.3.5.36 is a hotfix and not pushed out automatically. You may update the firmware manually or check for an update using the Orbi app or web interface.

I’m using firmware v2.3.5.26 and I’m still having the issue with random pages printed every Monday. I’m going to upgrade to 2.3.5.30 as prompted to do in the Orbi app. Does 2.3.5.30 have a fix in place for this issue?

I’m running the RBR20 w/ the NOfix 2.3.5.36 update... still printing! Ugh... tech emailed me last month saying a new FW would be out... it’s not out??!

Despite assurances of a fix for the printer printing three pages of useless information when an Armor scan is run, this is still happening. It is a minor nuisance, but it is inappropriate. When will it be fixed?

I moved to the .36 firmware about 5 days ago and so far no prints have occurred. I would think they would make the units automatically update to fix this issue rather than require a manual fix.

.36 didn’t fix it, it helped for a few weeks...

What FW were you at prior?

I was told .30 is newer lol so I just downgraded from .36 to .30 hope it helps!

I was at .26 , I was told to update to the .36 and not the .30. I’m gonna be upset if that was the fix and not what they told me.

So to be clear they still haven’t fixed it! They promised a FW fix months ago!

Yes tech support actually walked me through updating from 26 to 36, it still printed (less often).... then I heard on here that .30 is newer.... but that printed the next day lol tech support told me that a newer update would be released by end of this month, because .36 didn’t help.... but new FW is nowhere to be found.
