Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)
I don't like playing the disgruntled customer, but the XR500 has been a major, major disappointment for me. I upgraded from the original Netduma R1 to the XR500 in the belief that the hardware would offer a nice upgrade. In return I got a router with glaring issues. I've been having issues with my internet disconnecting for months but never posted here because it was infrequent enough that I could sort of ignore it.
Previously looking through the logs when the disconnects occured would show DDOS attacks. Through Google and posts on this forum I learned that there was no reason to fear, and that this shows that the router was doing its job. Great! But my internet just disconnected and it took a few minutes to return. I got kicked out of the game I was playing and I can't return. This is a router doing its job?
But that's one thing. The past week or so it has been almost impossible to play. My internet just disconnected on me 5 games in a row. Shows either something about a DHCP lease in the log or nothing at all. It's absolutely embarassing that the entire house which is serviced by a cheap router has internet whilst I have my personal very expensive gaming router which fails on me.
I actually just decided to just go back to the R1 in the hope that it's more stable. Is anything being done about the XR500? When can I expect something to be done?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)
Hi Fraser, I did. Getting disconnected in the game after I upgraded to v.114 prompted me to just give up and replace the XR500 with my Netduma R1.

@Nicator if you haven't already I would highly recommend doing a factory reset once on that firmware to ensure no issues have carried over.

Alright, thanks. That's one thing I haven't tried yet. Will do and see what happens.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)
@TimChangsorry I didn't get to testing yesterday as I had emergency issues at the office that needed tending. I started testing this morning to see if I can reproduce the IPv4 blocking issues and now I cannot. I've now enabled QoS and Auto-Enabled congestion control and I'm not seeing any blocking issues.
IPv6 testing site shows I have dual stack working and both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic is running fine. I don't know if this information is of value for the testing, but this showed up in the logs.

I'm not too sure why http download of the cloud sync failed. It's possible that my pi-hole did a dns sinkhole on something but I didn't see anything obvious in my pi-hole logs to suggest that happened. I also did save the debug logs from when I turned on QoS. It's in the same dropbox link I sent you previously.
I'll continue to run with this configuration but this firmware seems extremely stable to me. My LAN connections doesn't show any port resets when WAN DHCP renews that I previously reported on previous firmware. The only thing I didn't get working was the OpenVPN server when I was in the office yesterday. For some reason I wasn't getting an IP address from the router. But it could be possible this is because I haven't downloaded/updated my configuration on the OpenVPN client on my office computer. I'm not in the office frequently, only once every two weeks, but I don't think it's a showstopper function at this point.
For the days I've been running the firmware has been extremely stable. WiFi issues. IPTV works as smoothly as before. This version has my vote as a beta test candidate for others to try.

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)
Cosmetic bug. I think Network Snapshot and Network Overview only monitors IPv4 traffic and is ignorant to IPv6 traffic.I should see significant more traffic from devices on my network since I'm dual stack.

@Blancopomona you can't delete firmware, do you mean downgrade/go back to pre-beta firmware? If so just download a pre-beta firmware file and downgrade to it in the same way you upgraded to the beta.

@gisuck[...] Are devices using more traffic than is showed? Just because you're dual stack doesn't mean bandwidth is being arbitrarily used.
Oh yeah. It's not even registering IPTV traffic even though it's HD/4K content which also connects to Netflix, YouTube, etc. Most of the time the graph is idle which should not be, with the number of active devices I have on my home network. The only reason why I suspect it's IPv6 problem is because if I disable IPv6 and reboot, I seemingly get a more accurate reading on the graph. Doesn't mean it is, just sus (like Among Us).

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)
@Netduma-Fraser I confirm the problems with not showing the number of downloaded mb, ipv6 turned off for me, today there were problems with qos it turned off by itself, iptv cuts every few seconds, traffic prioritization does not detect youtub and some other pc games and applications asus tuf, manual setting works, connection tests it's very low, 114 is terrible turning off qos doesn't help

I Have updated to 114 firmware and see how it goes.
What is the best way to reset the router after update? using a pin?
also is it ok to restore the backup settings after reset?

Re: New Firmware v2.3.2.108 (XR500)
@Netduma-Fraser yes of course; now it works, I will watch start debugging, weird now it works fine, I had two times so I had that, xr500 loses stability for a few minutes, it seems that it was just android smart tv sony, iptv started to clip and all qos functions turned off with the message, after a while I returned to the qos website and it was already on, it was strange, other devices worked fine
