Re: Nighthawk R7800 V1.0.0.361 and V1.0.0.423?
To help avoid having to re-enter configurations after factory resets, users shoujld have a back up configuration on file. Helps save time if resets are needed. https://kb.netgear.com/24231/How-do-I-back-up-the-router-configuration-settings-on-my-Nighthawk-rout...
I've forwarded this on to NG for review. Users should avoid trying to update the GUI version if this error is seen.
Otherwise this should not effect other router normal operations.
Users can also try Voxels 3rd party FW as well.
Thank you.

Of course you can back up the settings. I was just trying to be cute for Turbofroggy’s sake since i feel the person’s pain. There are a lot of suggestions that are just wasting our time. Not to put the suggestion down, but a good example is the link on how to back up your settings. How does that help us fix this issue? It is frustrating. Living with the issue is probably the best option. Thanks for trying.

Ah no, the processor is not over clocked. Where did you get your information from? Wow.
Well you can post over in the smallnetbuilders forum and ask him and users of his FW directly. Might get more user experiences there. I've had his FW loaded and worked well. Zero issues. Also get to add additional features that stock FW won't support. Up to you though.
Good luck.

Re: Nighthawk R7800 V1.0.0.361 and V1.0.0.423?
I did not say that the CPU was overclocked. I was asking if it was being overclocked to get the performance improvements. I still think that Netgear should provide a fix. I want an OEM solution! Not a third party modification. I would only go to the third party if it was authenticated by Netgear and available as a download at Netgear. Netgear doesn't appear to get involved in their community discussions so I will make sure that my next router is not a Netgear. The lack of support to everyone that has this issue just put Netgear on my do not buy list. This will be my last entry here since I am waisting my time.

3rd party FW was a suggestion for temporary or alternative solution until NG resolves this issue.
NG has been made aware of this issue. Users will need to be patient and wait for NG to resolve and fix this issue. Or try 3rd party FW.
Good Luck.

Thank you. I am unclear or how we know NG is aware and is working on it?

Re: Nighthawk R7800 V1.0.0.361 and V1.0.0.423?
We sent a message to a forum moderator the other day. Said he's looking into it. Thats all that was said. So it's in there hands. No idea if or when it will be fixed. Please don't ask.
