ReadyNAS RNRX400E FirmWare update failed now device hangs on bootup

Hi,

I've got a readynas 1500 that was working fine, but during a firmware upgrade to v4.2.31 the device seems to of crashed and now boots up but hangs without doing anything further and not visable in RAIDar.

The only LED's that are active are the:

Blue LED - Solid

Ethernet LED - Blinking

I can get into the boot menu, however after trying factory default, OS reinstall and tech supp mode the device just hangs upon selecting one of the modes indefinetly.

I've tried USB recovery tool but appears it doesn't recognise the usb stick (16gb sandisk, formatted to fat32 as shown in guide). Maybe it's my recovery file structure it doesn't like.. not sure.

Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Perhaps try a different USB stick.  Generally older ones (and perhaps smaller ones) work best.

Also tried a 8Gb old memory stick, same no LED activity on the usb stick to indicate its doing anything at all.
