1MB/s transfer rater on RN104

I only get 1MB/s transfer rate when coping files/folders between my NAS and PC but I get about 24MB/s between a an external USB drive and PC. Can anyone please help me with this. Connection between PC and router is 1GB. Same as that between NAS and router.

Can you benchmark performance with Nastester, and post the results?

Re: 1MB/s transfer rater on RN104

Please, your connection between PC and router is 1Gbps, not 1GB. It's complicated enough already 😉
Is that happening since a specific event? Did you always have this kind of slow transfer speed? Did you change anything in the config of the NAS recently? Is the GUI responsive or very very slow?

Re: 1MB/s transfer rater on RN104

I disabled the antivirus a couple of days ago.

The Nasttester_17 gives Iteration of 1.35MB/sec

I have 2 x 2TB drives configured with X-Raid

GUI has become slow also

What firmware are you running (also did you recently update it)?

Have you checked the disk health?  You can download the logs (zip file) and look at smart_history.log

Hi StephenB, yes I upgraded the firmware about 2 weeks ago to version 6.5.0

Both HDDs are showing as healthy.

All the entries in the smart log file is zero for each drive.

Re: 1MB/s transfer rater on RN104

Did the problem begin right when you updated the firmware, or did it begin later on?

What version of Windows are you running?

Do you have jumbo frames (MTUs larger than 1500) enabled on the NAS and/or the PC?

Does the PC also have a WiFi adapter, or only ethernet?

Is there any internet security software/antivirus software running on the PC?
