Migrate from dead ReadyNAS NV+ to new ReadyNAS 104

(I have searched the forum, cannot find a clear answer...)
- I have an 8 year old ReadyNAS NV+, with 4 1TB drives in XRaid config
- S/N 000D-A201-24E0
- P/N RNV2-S2-0000
- Disks are all in working condition; array is intact
- The unit will not power on; this happened last week (12/14/2015) after a power outage
- I would like to purchase new 104 unit
- Can I simply take disks out, put them in new unit, and power on?
- Any other options?
Thanks

Actually you purchased your unit just over 9 years ago now according to your profile.
Your serial is in the range of the Service Action: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/Service-Action-to-Prevent-PSU-Failures-in-Ready...
You may wish to contact support to see if you can get a PSU replacement under that.
1. No, but you could contact support to enquire about data recovery using the 104. There would be a cost involved, you would need e.g. a USB disk to backup to and to wait for support's instructions.
2. I would quite about whether PSU replacement is possible first. Another option would be to rewire a standard PSU (standard wiring is incompatible).
If you do get a PSU replacement and that brings the unit back to life, I still think it would be time to get a new NAS with new disks and to copy your data across: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29730/~/how-do-i-back-up-data-from-a-raidiator-4-syste...
We have a range of models to choose from.
The 104 is a cost-effective option, but we do have some newer models such as the 204 and 214 which are more powerful.
The 214 can transcode 1080p video down to 480p.
