(Mods if this topic is in wrong area please delete as I also replied to http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=81208 hoping for a response ) I have a RN102 with v6.2.4 firmware. Upon attempting to login to ReadyCloud I get the error " *blank*NAS is offline, please check power and internet connectivity" I can ping my NAS successfully, can browse to it using file explorer, can access the admin page by typing in the IP and browse to all of my folders in the admin console but ReadyCloud shows my NAS as offline and does not display any of my data, also tried holding the "backup" button on the device for 5 seconds and searching for it by serial number under the "Discover" tab in a couple of last desperate attempts.... really confused but I wouldn't be surprised if this were a self-inflicted issue :? I'm currently turning off ReadyCloud and waiting for my reboot to re-enable ReadyCloud to see if it resolves my issue. I'll edit post or add another reply to follow up once I've done so. EDIT* So I tried re-enabling ReadyCloud after reboot of NAS and this is what displayed.... any ideas to resolve this would be greatly appreciatedSolved20KViews0likes7CommentsRN104 ReadyCLOUD cannot DISCOVER
Received my RN104 on 20 Apr 2013 setup with 4 WD 1 tb drives replacing my NV+ wanting greater future storage capacity. However ReadyCLOUD website cannot DISCOVER my RN104. I can login online and all is fine. Problem: My network shows the original name of my RN104 while ReadyCLOUD shows the name I gave it during setup. I use the backup button to put RN104 into discover mode but still cannot be discovered although it is there. I do not desire to setup all over again, any ideas?????17KViews0likes1CommentReadyNAS 102 - ReadyCloud Cannot Discover Device
I am unable to discover my NAS through ReadyCloud. I have read the following posts on this: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=394086#p394086 http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=70100 http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=71057 and others. My set up is: ReadyNAS 102 connected to a Netgear router via a Netgear 16Gb switch. 2 PCs connected to the switch - I am able to connect to the NAS from either PC. I had issues setting up the NAS and did it via the Set up wizard. I performed a factory default during the set up process. I have also created a ReadyCloud account in https://readycloud.netgear.com. Based on the first post referenced above, I have tried the following: 1. Clicking the Discover button in ReadyCloud. 2. Having used the local setup wizard I understand from the post that I cannot discover the device in cloud portal; 3. So, I have pressed the backup button in the front panel for 5 seconds but the device is not discovered (again after clicking Discover); 4. But, being already registered into cloud I also understand that the device cannot be listed in the cloud portal discovery page unless I enter the SN and search it. I have tried this and it also does not work. Remote access (and reported ease of set up) was the main reason I purchased this device so it is important to me to get this working. I would be grateful for assistance. Thanks in advance, Tim13KViews0likes8CommentsReadyCloud won't discover new ReadyNAS 102
Hello, I got a new ReadyNAS 102 2-Bay, Diskless RN10200 out of the box yesterday (and put in a third party HDD). So far everything seems is working fine except I am having problems with ReadyCloud. I am running the newest firmware 6.0.4 Readycloud is refusing to discover the ReadyNAS. When I am going through the setup process and I try to discover the device, it prompts me to press the Backup or OK button on the front of the ReadyNAS. However, when I do this, it fails and tells me to try again. If I take no action, after three minutes it fails and tells me I did not press the button within three minutes and need to try again. When I do press the Backup button, it fails immediately and gives this same message (even if it's still less than three minutes). I've tried pressing the Backup button once, holding it for 15 seconds, holding it before I click discover, etc. I have rebooted my computer and also rebooted and unplugged the ReadyNAS and tried again with the exact same results. I tried again throughout the day in case it was some kind of problem with the Readycloud service itself that might have later been corrected, but I continuously get the same result. Obviously it won't allow me do anything else with ReadyCloud, because it says I don't have a registered device because it won't let me discover it. So far I have not seen anyone else raise this specific issue. I believe this might be a problem with ReadyCloud more than a problem with the ReadyNAS hardware itself. Everything on the ReadyNAS remains lit and doesn't seem to have an issue on the device itself. Does the browser I'm using matter at all? Is there going to be a new firmware update that corrects this issue? Please help.12KViews0likes31CommentsReadycloud services unavailable
Two questions actually, I'm trying to set up Readycloud. Firstly when I toggle on Readycloud in the GUI, "Services unavailable", cannot attach device appears. I have a myNetgear account which is logged in and I can access the nas remotely using the Readycloud portal and the same MyNetgear credentials. Why is this error message appearing? Secondly, it seems adding additional users is not straightforward. I have granted access to someone, entered their email address, they have received the invitation and successfully created a MyNetgear account. When this user tries to access the nas remotely they receive a message that they have no registered devices. I've tried the "Discovery on" function, this allows the user to see the nas (on the LAN), but there is no option to register the device to that MyNetgear account, there is an option to manage which links to the local admin pages.12KViews0likes26CommentsUnable to login to NAS or even access my drives
So 3 days ago, I logged into the ReadyCloud portal just to check on the health of my drives etc. and to check make sure I wasnt running out of space. Today I try login and.... I cant. Neither can I access my drives on the network. Im essentialy locked out of my own drives now. WTF is going on ?!! Tried, diffrent browsers (Chrome, safari Firefox) , devices (Windows and Mac and Linux) etc. after I try typing the password in it directs me to thr forgotten password portal, once there I even try following that process and it says those details are not correct, I know for sure that it is becasue I documented and triple checked when I set the device up that they are correct. Help I need to get to these files on adaily basis, I have backups but there are in the cloud and will take ages to recover. Faster I can solves this, the less likely I am to resort to that.Solved12KViews0likes13CommentsReadyNas cannot connect to READYCLOUD
I am having trouble connecting my Netgear Nas 104 to ReadyCloud. I am using Software 6.8.1 I am able to see the Nas in the ReadyCloud and am signed in, but I cannot bring it online through the portal. Everytime I try to turn on Ready Cloud on the “Cloud” page, II enter my credentials andI am given the following message: “Something is preventing the Readynas from connecting to the ready cloud server. Please reboot your readynas and Try again.” When I go to readygear.netgear.com the nas is there but will not show any of the files. I am sure of my user name and password and have also confirmed that it is registered to my email address <REDACTED> user name is <REDACTED> Lastly, I am able to see my files through my computer network fine, just not the Ready Cloud. I would like to include my log but not sure which one to send you. Please help!!!Solved12KViews0likes35CommentsUnable to Discover Device
I am attempting to connect to my NAS using the Ready CLOUD (RC), however the device cannot be discovered. I have tried the serial number to no avail. RAIDar sees the NAS without an issue. I am using RAIDar 6.2 and Firmware 6.6.0 on NAS. I have updated the RC software to V 1.13, still no joy at all. Any advice accepted. Thanks in advance.Solved11KViews0likes23Commentsno registered devices

Try Again LAter
Hi, I have had nothing but problems with my ReadyNAS'es. I recently purchased a second ReadyNAS RN102. Both ReadyNAS RN 102's are running on OS 6.6.0 and are on the same network. I have done everything I could to try and get ReadyNAS replicate up and going, but failed. Don't tell me to follow ANY basic steps. I have done everything (8.8.8.8, IPv6 disabled, deleted and readded the readyNAS'es to the ReadyNAS replicate, etc) and I always get the same error: [2016-11-15 15:21:50] [Info] Replicate version: 1.3.0 build R2 [2016-11-15 15:21:50] [Info] Starting backup job "Data Backup [2016-11-10 11h 41m AM]" [2016-11-15 15:21:50] [Info] Locking target folder: /data/Replicate-Test/Data Backup [2016-11-10 11h 41m AM] [2016-11-15 15:21:51] [Info] Resume folder is "/data/Replicate-Test/Data Backup [2016-11-10 11h 41m AM]/2016-11-10 12-26 (failed)/data" [2016-11-15 15:21:51] [Warning] Incremental not possible [2016-11-15 15:21:52] [Info] p2p connect to nas-35-94-06 in 12239561 network [2016-11-15 15:22:14] [Info] p2p connect to nas-35-94-06 in 12239561 network [2016-11-15 15:22:27] [Error] Unable to connect to nas-35-94-06 [2016-11-15 15:22:27] [Error] Connect error code: -51 [2016-11-15 15:22:27] [Error] Please check source device is online and Replicate service is running [2016-11-15 15:22:27] [Info] Unlock target folder: /data/Replicate-Test/Data Backup [2016-11-10 11h 41m AM] [2016-11-15 15:22:27] [Info] Job finished The only thing I haven't tried is port forwarding. Before I open ports and such, I need to know if there is another port other than 6300 that works with ReadyNAS replicate since I have two ReadyNAS'es and no proxy server. Second, when I tried a telnet command from inside the network to either server with 6300, only one ReadyNAS responded. I noticed the other one has this error on the ReadyCloud page: Yes, it has access to the internet. It can download apps and connect to ReadyNAS replicate. In fact, my efforts to replicate even create files on either servers, but doesn't transfer any files. No, the proxy server is not on. I've tried a few different ports, but its currently on 6300 again. The account email address blurred out there is not on any user accounts on the device. I just can't understand why the services would be unavailable. I don't want to try port forwarding so I can use ReadyNAS replicate until I know I can access the machines properly from within the network so I can cut down on complexity and troubleshoot properly.9.9KViews0likes23Comments
