Hi there, I have installed an Orbi RBK852 last week and had some significant issues with zoom and teams. Over a period of 6 days, I have spoken/called Telstra (ISP) and Netgear multiple times with little to no answers or improvements. My Orbi RBK852 is connected directly into a NBN CO NTD FTTC box which has replaced the Telstra CobraAX Gen 3 Modem. The Orbi connected perfectly and picked up everything automatically from the ISP and was ready to go. Download speed 102/upload 19. When trying to use zoom and teams, the packet loss and sent bitrate is incredibly low and poor. After ticking disable SIP ALG, Nat Filtering set to Open and unchecking disable IGMP Proxying I was able to have zoom to return to no freezing and stutter with only 1% packet loss and not up to 90% packet loss. However, MS Teams is still running like I am frozen in time. The changes I listed above improved my sent bit rate from 0.2 to 1.1 mbps but not enough to have a solid video for the person on the other end. When they watch me on their mobile or when I share screen, the video is fine (I think because of the low resolution/screen size). But normal size impairs the teams completely. I use MS Teams and Zoom up to 55 hours a week and work from home so this is incredibly distressing. I do not want to accept defeat and set the RBR to AP mode, I want this to work as a router and modem. I have tried playing with other settings, the CTS/RTS was increased from 1, to 500, 1500 and 2347 (max) with no change. I set the radio frequencies to auto and 48 (even though the issue still occurs when plugged directly into the RBR. NG support did a ping test no issue. They did it to zoom/teams and there is a timed out request but that issue exists even when I do not use the Orbi system, the ISP and NBN have the same time out but when I plug the ISP modem back in and connect to that, absolutely no issue with teams or zoom. I have tried this in browser and app (updated both and I am up to the latest firmwire on the router and satellite). I would love any ideas or anything I can change to try increase its performance. It seems that the Orbi system does not want to allow the traffic to these services but I am also not the most technologically advanced and would love any assistance. Someone out there must have had the same issue and can explain it in a way that doesn't make numbers/equations fly across my vision. I have my ISP arguing that it is the Orbi system, I have NG argue that it is the NBN/ISP. Like most of us, I spent a lot purely to get 40 + devices connected and future proof because the ISP modem would drop connections and devices constantly sitting at 20 devices. Please help! AX6000 WiFi Mesh System (RBK852)Access Control Lists for Orbi RBR50
In recent days I have experienced issues when existing devices have tried to reconnect to my router. It turns out that the problem was my ACL list had reached a maximum allowable of 128 devices in the allowed list. I turned off ACL and the problem went away. As I only have currently 32 devices connected my question is can I clear out my ACL and strat over, and if I did do this would there be any detrimental effect on my existing devices or would a simple reboot re-populate the allowed list as I have ticked allow new devices to connect to the router. I have an Orbi RBR50 with two RBS50 satellites connected to it running the latest firmware. Any help would be very much appreciated. Many thanks MikeLimited download speed on Netgear Orbi AC3000 RBK50v2
Hi folks, I have a Netgear Orbi AC3000 RBK50v2 system with one router and one satellite which has been working fine with my TPG 100Mbps Internet plan. My wifi-connected PC routinely showed 100+Mbps whenever I did a Oookla speed test. So, I just upgraded my TPG Internet to their UltraFast plan, advertised as having 800Mbps as a typical evening download speed. I have run download speed tests using the router's built-in Ookla-powered speed test and it shows consistent results of around 640Mbps which I'm satisfied with. However, my wifi-connected PC routinely delivers just under 200Mbps - I have scheduled Ookla speed tests on the hour and the results are consistent. My wifi-connected PC is an Intel NUC 12 Extreme which supports gigabit wifi so I'm puzzled as to why I'm only getting around 200Mmps when the router gets 640Mbps. Is roughly a third to be expected? My PC is the only active client during some of these tests so I was expecting closer to the 640Mbps. Are there wifi settings I should investigate that might improve my situation?RBR50 — Orbi AC3000 Tri-band WiFi Router Won't Boot or Reset After Possible Firmware Update
Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with my Netgear Orbi AC3000 system (1 RBR50 Router and 1 RBS50 Satellite) and I’m hoping to get some assistance. Model: Netgear Orbi AC3000 (1 RBR50 Router and 1 RBS50 Satellite). Problem is with RBR50 Firmware: I believe it was either 2.7.5.4 or 2.7.4.24 (unfortunately, I can't log in to the UI to verify) The system was working fine until it suddenly stopped. I suspect the issue may have been caused by a firmware update, as the auto-update feature was enabled on the router. While the satellite still functions (it boots up, shows a pink light, and the SSID is visible), the RBR50 router no longer powers on properly. Some Other Observations The green power indicator at the back is on. Pressing and holding the Reset button does not change the green light to amber/orange, and nothing happens (I’ve tried multiple times, but reset doesn’t work). I’ve power-cycled the router several times, but it didn’t help. No WiFi SSID is being broadcasted. No light at the top of the router even when powering on. I attempted a hard reset (30-30-30 method), but it didn’t work. Lastly, I followed the instructions here: How do I upload firmware to my NETGEAR router using TFTP from the Microsoft Windows Command Prompt? How do I upload firmware to my NETGEAR router using a TFTP client on Microsoft Windows? However, I couldn't continue with the steps as my PC doesn’t detect the router when connected via LAN cable also after restarting the router, it doesn’t turn amber/orange which is required for putting the firmware on router via TFTP. Has anyone experienced this issue or have any advice on how I can get the router back to working condition? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your assistance!SolvedVoxels FW available for 50 series Orbi only available.

I'm trying to help out someone with this router. The top light is magenta and the wireless network does not show, but if you directly connect to one of the LAN ports, it does have internet access. Their power went out, and after it was restored they could not use their Orbi system. They had a new modem replaced by their ISP and I enabled bridge mode on the modem but still nothing. I brought the router back to my place to try it on my self owned modem, and still the same issue. Failed troubleshooting steps: Factory reset with paper clip for 15 sec Tried using the Orbi app to set up as new device Tried orbilogin.com/net, routerlogin.com/net, 192.168.0.1, and 192.168.1.1 (the last one just shows spinning and never loads or gives a response) Without being able to get into the admin portal, I can't even see if there is a firmware update. Does anyone know of any other method to get into the portal. Maybe some kind of override, or some other step I can take?Orbi system appears to be rebooting every night around the same time
Hello community. We are using the Netgear Orbi RBR750 system. Every night around the same time. ~11:35pm our system seems to reboot. All our devices lose WiFi connection. Looking at the LED’s on the router and satellites they’re blinking like they’re rebooting. Logs don’t show anything before that time, it shows it initialize, get internet connection and all devices reconnect and get IP addresses. I’ve reset modem and router Manually installed latest firmware from the netgear site v7.2.6.31. Factory reset router and all satellites and setup fresh not using a backup configuration and issue still persists. I’ve seen similar posts but based on the descriptions it’s the internet that’s going out, not the router rebooting itself, or WiFi disconnecting. Any additional suggestions would be very welcome. Thank you!
